  1. Hello, I am traveling with my 4yr old in May 2015 on her second cruise and hope she is ready to try the kids club. We cruised in March 2014 and she did not want to stay. We are working with her and explaining how fun it will be. The real test will be for me.... How safe is it? I would love to hear from parents that have experienced the kids club for the 2-5 age range. I am apprehensive about leaving her with new people and just want to have some of my fears put to rest. Are there cameras? Are children ever left alone with one camp counselor?

Anyone traveling with their little one on the May 16, 2015 Victory sailing, let's connect. We are traveling with a group but will be the only one's with a little one. I would love to have her make a friend early on (Skype or Facetime) and then plan for some fun play dates on board. We only plan on using the after hours and occasional daytime camps. She really enjoys the pool and just hanging out throughout the day.

I apologize if this is the wrong thread, my first post.

Thanks in advance for all your tips, comments & help!

If you don't get many responses, start a new topic named something like "Kids on Victory and your sail date." so that you catch folks eye . Good luck

  2. We leave on Sept. 27 and still do not know our room number. I heard sometimes you will not know until you check in at the port.

I hear that a lot too. I just researched and we have an OV Gty. There are about 60 interiors left, 30 OV and about 50 Balconies on our sailing. I don't think we'll get an upgrade but it would suuuuure be nice to have an Aft View Ocean View at least if we don't get bumped to balcony. That seems like it would have awesome views .

  3. I agree with La Choza and the orange sauce! Also the courtyard at Guidos is nice.

If your ship is one that stays late one of the retauarants on the water can be fun for the sunsets - we like Blue Angel, Rolandiis, Jeannie, (Buccanos, if it is a Fri/Sat)

I saw Blue Angel. It looks to be directly on the water. It would have been nice to have dinner with our feet in the water . There's a restaurant in Aruba like that.

  4. I have been to Cozumel several times on a cruise and on All Inclusives, I recommend Prima Trattoria. You can google earth it to see how far from cruise terminal it is, you will have to take a cab. But there is a great excursion that is close by that is free. I swear you will not be disappointed, visit the Grocery store that is across the street, you will be amazed.

Thank you. I wanted to go back on the boat because it's formal night. But one of the couples pointed out that we have to eat on the ship the other 3 nights so I guess it makes sense to eat dinner in Cozumel since we can.

  5. Our favorite is La Choza. Ran into Wee Jimmy there one time. It's a few blocks from the main drag.

Thank you. I did see a board that mentioned LaChoza but I couldn't find it again.

  6. We are sailing on the Dream. This is our first cruise, and Hubs could care less about cruising. We are traveling with multiple friends and it's all about the social aspect to him. He likes blackout curtains in the bedroom and says he is perfectly fine with the tiny, dark interior room. I, on the other hand, crave sunshine. I feel lethargic if there isn't enough of it. We are also tall- Hubby is 6'6". I am trying not to be unreasonable, but I am mildly worried about feeling claustrophobic and/or depressed every time we are in the cabin. For less than $100, it seems we can get a Carnival-chosen balcony. If we wet to choose our own balcony, it is almost $550.

I feel like a deer in headlights here! I saw that some Cove balconies were somewhat more affordable, around $400 to choose out own. I guess we won't know until it's too late, since we have nothing to compare this to. I tell you this: if we end up NOT upgrading, I will go Wayne Brady on someone to get a spa pass, which is where you will find me de-stressing from our hole of a room all week long. ;)

Definitely get the balcony ! Our first cruise was an interior and even though I had a good time, I will never book an interior again if I can help it. It did make me feel a little claustrophobic without windows. We are letting Carnival pick an ocean view for us for our upcoming cruise in October and hoping for a balcony upgrade ! 👙

  7. Thanks folks. We're going on a carnival cruise do u know if they require one?

No, it's not required on Carnival. As long as your cruise (for example), begins in Miami and ends in Miami.

  8. Now that is really a nice picture and exactly what I'm talking about-something to show that we've been there!! Thanks for sharing :)

How long will it take to get there and back, if we went in the morning? About how long to casually walk around to see the inside, marina, etc.

If the ship says it gets in at 8am what time will be off the ship? Thanks!!

This was 2012. I can't truthfully gauge it because we went on a tour van that met us at the port and it was like $25 a person. They took us to Atlantis, we stayed there for about an hour. They also took us to a place to shop , Fort Fincastle and a beach. We were with them for a few hours. But I'm sure you can catch a cab there and back easily enough. I wouldn't think more than 30 minutes from the port.

  9. We have a ship excursion scheduled in Nassau at 12:15 which last about 3 hours (we're in port from 8am to 6pm).

I am thinking about a quick trip over to Atlantis since it's our first time in Nassau. Maybe in the morning before the excursion just to walk around. I hate to be there and not go to the hotel. On the other hand we have seen big beautiful hotels before and I don't want to feel rushed that day to see everything either and hanging on the ship in the morning is very appealing too.

Is it worth a trip over or would I just be wasting my time better spent relaxing on the ship until the excursion.

There is a big chair there that you can take a picture in (if you slip the photographer a $5, he'll snap a pic for you on your camera and them you don't have to spend $15-25 for theirs 😊)

There's also a Nobu restaurant there like the one in Vegas.

    Chair photo attached.

  10. The post office in cozumel between Dolphiaris and downtown does passport stamps. Its a little green building with bike racks and usually some pop up tent vendors nearby. Walk in and ask for a stamp, takes less than a minute and is super easy to do. I did it there back in June. If you have any other questions, let me know!

Thank you !!! Going in October
