  1. I'm also in a Window Suite for the first time in April (on the Grand) and we plan on doing Ultimate Balcony Dining.  We've done it before in a regular balcony room (my avatar) and the food is so much better than in the MDR, in my opinion.  The amount of food you get can easily feed 4 people.  Although there's no balcony in the Suite, there's a lot more room to enjoy the meal and you don't need to worry if the weather is bad outside!

  2. I tried to re-book my air too (I'm under the Sip & Sail promotion) but I was unable to do so. When I go into my booking, the sale does not show up although I can see it on a mock booking.  I called Princess and was told it was for new bookings only and can't be placed under my current promotion.

  3. We had that same room and a balcony dinner in October last year on Caribbean Princess..Divine. We are back her again in two weeks and plan to repeat same. Wondering, however, if you had footstools for your chairs and a round table out there (both of which we did not have)???? Hopefully they have corrected that by now. Thanks in advance for your reply. Happy sailing.

They don’t have the footstools for ours (B749). I tried to get the steward to find me some but was told it’s only for minisuites and above. Round table was there. Thanks

  4. Like I said earlier today, I’m not complaining, I was wondering why there was an uneven arbitrary line. I’m happy with what I have but wanted to check that this wasn’t an oversight, in case there were others that might have missed out otherwise. I’m sure they have their reasons why it was excluded, just wanted clarity.

  5. I tried to call Princess and was told to write an email to Customer Relations Dept. since they couldn’t explain why D504 was excluded. I’m also trying to see if my TA can find out anything further before I send an email. I wonder how many other people are affected in the other cruises before mine.

  6. Because the Club Class designation is just an arbitrary grouping, and your selection just happened to be on that arbitrary line. The cabins are exactly the same, the only difference is whether you choose the club class level or not. Princess just recently expanded the number of club class cabins (on some ships?) and you will see similar category shifts happen all the time across the fleet.

I guess they couldn’t draw a straight line the day they did it!

  7. I'm on the Grand, going on a Hawaiian cruise in April 2019. I'm in room D504 which is showing as category MB but across the hall, D503 is showing as category M1 (Club Class). Why would they do this on one side of the ship but not the other? :(

I was curious if anyone has had any similar communication with Princess about this before I call about this discrepancy.

    Thanks!

  8. Perry Grant is not for everyone. In fact, he's been our least favorite entertainer in Crooners across our 14 Princess trips. It depends on your age range and musical preferences. Seems to only play old standards and is over the top cheesy with bad jokes. I much prefer the big voices who play more contemporary pieces such as Joey Yates.

But, from what I saw on Royal in February he has quite a large following that even seems a bit like groupies. It's funny to watch that element. I may just be in the minority.

No, you're not in the minority, I found it funny to watch the groupies gather waiting for the show to start :D

  9. It has nothing to do with assigning guarantee cabins. They are changing cabin categories on ships. For example, a cabin may be switching from an oceanview to an obstructed oceanview. They are pulling the sailing down until they finish with the regrading. Caribbean Princess is on the list for today. The reps have a list of the ships and the days they are being taken offline for bookings. If it takes as long as it did when they did the Emerald a few days back it should be back available later today.

    Thanks for the clarification!

  10. Princess also mentions on twitter for perks besides advance boarding.

We're currently running a pilot test on Ruby Princess for 3 voyages only. Guests with Princess Advance Boarding will be among the first to enjoy amenities onboard and access to book activities like Shore Excursions, Speciality Dining, and Sanctuary reservations.

  11. I'm on CB in September and I got upgraded the other day from a Balcony on Lido (category BC) to the Corner Aft Premium Balcony (category B4). No email to either myself or TA. I'm not complaining, happy for the move! :D But it seems weird that they moved us this early in the year. My TA actually called Princess and they couldn't explain why that happened. Plus the other 3 cabins that were sold in my original section were also cleared out and the entire back of the ship for the premium balconies were suddenly sold out. Wondering is something is wrong in that area of Lido deck on the ship.

  12. I also got dizzy coming off a 15 day cruise in March this year and I still have it! My doctor said it was the Mal de debarquement syndrome. Medication did not help and so I'm in physical therapy to re-train my brain to think that things are not swaying and moving. She thinks it's an inner ear issue and not related to crystals being out of alignment. Although it's still not gone, it's better than it was. But this will not deter me from going on our next cruise next March!

  13. Just reporting back that I was able to go to our booking summary and purchase the AIBP. There was some discussion of a possible price increase in the package, starting September 30th. Anyway, the pricing today was still $57.40 per day, including the gratuity. Since we leave in October, I wanted to ensure that we purchased under the old pricing, just in case. Thank you again SpareBrew.:)

You're very welcome! Glad I could have helped out! Have a great cruise!
