Us 60yr olds grew up with vaccines. They are second nature and they are free of conspiracy theories  . Be more afraid of the kale chip eating, tree huggers who shop at Whole Foods.

I hear you...I'm not too far from 60 (lets not rush it)...but there are a number of "seasoned" Americans who wont take the vaccine (adamantly).....and they are all going to cruise from Florida.  (smh)

I don't understand how NCL can cruise out of Florida requiring 100% Vax when they are subject to the same rules as RCCL???  How is that happening?

Norwegian knows how to tell some to go to Halifax....plus they are considering leaving Florida altogether.  My group has decided not to sail from Florida until rules change.  COVID is going nowhere....can you imagine, ships full of non vaccinated 60 year olds?  The disease is going to have a ball.

We are fully vaccinated and see no need to be wearing masks and social distancing on Royal ships. So if they want to do this, we will cancel along with some friends that say the same thing. They are are not going to come all the way from NE to wear masks on a ship.

If you sail out of Florida, you may have a problem (they allow non vaccinated)...if you sail from elsewhere, there is no mask mandate.  Of course, things can change.  Masks don't bother me....but if it bothers you, there are destination vacations available.

You will be required to do more than bring your card.  There will be a Vaccine Attestation, a health questionnaire, and COVID 19 Risk Acceptance.  Plus, there will be testing, temperature checking, and tracelets for all.

    I'm cool with all that....

Yes, your card, and depending on when you sail, we could be faced with a vaccination passport.

Ok...great.  I think I need to get this card laminated.  I'm down with vaccination passports and anything else that will get me onboard with vaccinated passengers.  😃.

We cancelled 2 cruises last year.....

Since, you're from the East Coast, just plan on sailing from Boston, Bayonne and Baltimore.

Yea....that's the plan for now....we could also do TX, Puerto Rico, Bahamas...those are all vaccination required, right?

Also, how do you prove your vaccinated?  Just bring your card?

what makes me angry is that vaccinated guests didnt have to get tested and wear mask but because of the leader of flroida now we have to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe he will reconsider, we have to let companies do what's best for their business...I sure hope so.  We love Florida and we love to sail from Florida.  My group has made it clear that we wont be sailing from there, with the rules placed by Florida.  We are looking to other places of embarkation.  I'm going to interested in seeing what happens....

Hope that Gov. Murphy intercedes on your behalf, because if he stays silent, RCL will be free to impose the same rules for NJ sailings that they have in place for Washington sailings.

I want the rules....would they be different?  I thought as it stood, the only place that won't require vaccinations is Florida....is that correct?  I want vaccination requirements.

Doesn't make  it wise decision no matter how many follow........the more that follow and if there is an issue again will shut them ALL down again, you can lay money on that happening if there is an issue again.

Hope it works out for all, but i wouldn't count  on it.

If you want to cruise again from Florida right now, I suggest doing it the sooner the better if you just have to cruise from Florida, because it may not be available later.

That is what concerns me.  I just hope if there is an issue in Florida....and I pray not, that it wont affect the whole line.

Actually, we are very happy to sail from Florida with whomever is on board with us. We look at life this way: you can either change your plans or change your attitude. Those who allow their attitude towards a particular person or policy to dictate how they lead their lives have made a free and conscious choice. They are welcome to live with that choice. They are not, however, entitled to hold their choice over anyone else's head so they can justify their own decisions.

I haven't seen anyone force anything on anyone....even RCCL adjusted their rules for Florida...hence why I won't be sailing from there. However, if your good with it...I'm happy for you.

Some people are getting it that have been vaccinated but has anyone been seriously ill or died if they have been vaccinated.  Does anyone thinks that this is going to be 100% gone out of our lives?  We just have to go on living and doing the best that we can.

You can definitely still get infected if you have been vaccinated, but more unlikely that you will become seriously ill, which is why I won't be sailing with the unvaccinated.

And some of us who are physically unable to fly find Florida to be a good place to live if you like to cruise.

I can understand that too....but don't the majority of the people that cruise from Florida fly in from elsewhere?  If you live there and agree with the law, I say more power to you, bon voyage.  This will give me chances to try different ports other than Florida.

Sure people can but some people are fixated they must just sail from Florida.

Yea...I understand.  We loved sailing from Florida...would always spend an extra day.  I'm bummed.  I guess I have to figure out other ways.  I'm gonna miss FL.

Chances of problems occuring during a test cruise will almost 100% vaccinated is not going to be a problem, it's going to be when Florida allows unvaccinated passengers on the cruise ships.

You can bet that test cruise had mostly vaccinated volunteers because they wanted the test cruise to go well.

These test cruises are going to show very little as to what a cruise will look like once cruises start up from Florida.

The cruiseline showed last week they know how to run a vaccinated cruise by what they did on Adventure of the Seas. Just carrying over those same protocols though most likley won't work on a cruise with lot of unvaccinated passengers onboard.

Can you just stay away from Embarking in Florida and go where the vaccinations are required?

Someone posted this is another now-locked thread (the thread graveyard here is getting out of control)

I think it is obvious from this that Royal wants to sail with as many vaccinated people as possible. If the FL law didn't exist, it would be "everyone who can be vaccinated must be vaccinated" but FL will be FL so we go with the flow.

It is clear from this clarification he posted that the ships sailing with vaccine mandates are reserving the 5% only for kids under 12 that are not yet eligible for vaccines.

In FL, since they "expect" a 90% vaccination rate, coupled with them alluding to the fact that they will charge you thru the nose (pun intended) to be tested if you are unvaccinated, I interpret that as them able to accommodate more children under 12, not as a desire or willingness to allow unvaccinated adults on the ship.

Royal does not want unvaccinated adults on their ship. If they did, there wouldn't be required vaccines on  Adventure from the Bahamas.  Anthem from Southampton,  Jewel from Cyprus, Serenade from Seattle. Ovation from Seattle, Independence from Galveston, Harmony from Barcelona, or Oasis from Bayonne

I will not be sailing out of Florida....too many other ports.  I don't have time for dangerous rhetoric.  I love Florida too....dang.

They are in you’re community also . Don’t go outside in the world then . The only two were traveling mates together in same cabin . No others have it  . Sounds suspicious to me about validity of vaccinations.

To me it sounds like they weren't vaccinated.  I believe that vaccinations should be required to sail, hell, travel.

Port Side BBQ. The picture is what I had.. It think it was around $13 for dinner. It was really good.. especially the burnt ends.

Amazing....will have to try that out.  Do you know how the lines and if there were any costs for the escape room, laser tag?  Are adults welcomed on the slides?  Is there a weight limitation?  Any other fun activities...oh, and do you have to sign up for shows, etc.?

Oh and the Oasis is great. I sailed her Dec 1, 2019 and she looked great after the refurb. I can honestly say I like her better than any of the other Oasis class sisters. Aqua 80's was awesome, and the BBQ restaurant was fantastic! Now... if they would just get rid of CATS. 🤣

BBQ Restaurant....didn't know that one....wow.  I'm interested to see how they will handle the Buffet...that was our go-to....

We did Allure in 2011 (seems like forever).  The Mega Ships are not my favorite class, but the deal was simply to good to give up.  I'm a Freedom Class fanatic.  Do you remember the name of the BBQ Restaurant...was it good?
