  1. To quote BlerkOne..."The simplest explanation is most likely the truth - she's lying." The following is completely hypothetical and is not in any way associated with this post's scenario: I book a cruise. I spend way too much on it. I don't buy travel insurance with a cancel for any reason rider. I'm now in over my head and have to cancel but I'm gonna take a bath on the $$$ I will be losing. So I post booking details on social media and have a trusted friend/co-conspirator "steal" those details and cancel my cruise. I contact Carnival in a panic and play innocent victim figuring they will hand me buckets of money. But Carnival has lawyers. Good lawyers who write the Contract of Carriage and the Cancellation Policy. They go above and beyond and offer me much more than they are legally required but I'm still not getting all my money back. Crap! I should have thought this through. I've painted myself in a corner and will reach out to any form of media to get my story out. I keep playing innocent victim being brutalized by the giant conglomerate known as Carnival Corporation. As my plan continues to go sideways and backfire, I'm too foolish to simply walk away and lick my wounds. Instead I begin slandering Carnival and open myself up to civil lawsuits. The cycle continues and the hole I've dug keeps getting deeper. To quote Sir Walter Scott..."O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!"
  2. A good price??? It's an unbelievable price!!! Additional details would be greatly appreciated. A little voice in my head keeps repeating, "if it sounds too good to be true..."
  3. My GF gets the very same thing. Since we are not big drinkers she will "buy" a drink for herself then wait 5 minutes and "buy" another drink and hand it to me. The computer locks you out for 5 minutes between "purchases". Of course every drink she "buys", no matter who consumes it, counts towards the 15 drinks per day maximum.
  4. The Captain usually doesn't make announcements at 930pm. So when he does my attention perks up. He explained that we had to do a medical evacuation and he would keep us informed. This happened on Nov 27. First day of our cruise. Obviously everyone wishes the evacuated passenger all the best, but you have to be impressed with the professionalism of the crew and the micro-precision of how this is coordinated with the U.S. Coast Guard. Paradise does not have a helipad. The precision flying and hovering of the USCG crew was perfect. Kudos to all involved and, again, positive thoughts to the evacuated man. USGC Carnival Paradise.mp4
  5. Quoted from Carnival's website on Nov. 2, 2023: "Carnival carries distilled water which can be purchased either pre-cruise if you are sailing from a US port, or once on board. For pre-purchase, please contact our Fun Shops department at 1-800-522-7648 ext. 70039, Monday-Sunday from 9:00am-9:00pm ET. For purchase on board, please contact Room Service. Should you wish to bring your own distilled water with you, it must be hand-carried along with your CPAP machine."
