Thankyou for that. I just wondered as we stayed there for a week a few years back and know the area well. We did the elephant trip from there at that time and it was the highlight of our week.

Can I ask. Did you go ashore at Patong Beach in Phuket as I've heard it can stop at other places there.

Use to stay at the Novotel, Clarke Quay on my many business and holiday trips but now it has gone forever. We have booked at Park View hotel, Bugis, for 3 days before our cruise as thought we would try a different area for a change. After the cruise we are staying at Hotel Ora in Sentosa for 2 nights for another change and Universal Studios of course.

We are booked on Spectrum on 18th Jan for the 4 night cruise. Not so long flying time for me though. 14 hours non stop from London. Can't wait.
