I forgot to ask if taxi drivers expect to be tipped and if so what percentage is the average? I haven’t been to England in quite some time and wasn’t using taxis on my last visit.

It looks like taking a taxi from the cruise terminal to the White Cliffs Visitor center makes the most sense and then walking from there weather permitting. I assume from there a taxi to the castle won’t be a problem. Not sure of distances between the terminal, visitor center, castle and back to the terminal but am guessing it’s not very far. Could you hazard a guess on fares? Thanks again for your assistance.

I am very interested in taking the train from Le Havre to Rouen. Is there any tourist information at the train station in Rouen? Is the station convenient to the historical center of town? Is the tourist train worth doing or is this city a great diy?

It seems like in Portland the shuttle will get us to Weymouth and the castle so no need for a taxi. Thanks for information regarding taxis in Dover as trip from terminal to the castle and lighthouse would be convenient. Any suggestions you might have regarding the path from the castle to St. Margaret’s Bay would be appreciated. Is it a difficult walk? How long Would it take? At St. Margaret’s Bay will taxis be available? I am hoping the weather will cooperate!!

Can you Uber in le harve from the port to train station ? If you use a taxi are credit cards accepted?

Does anyone know what a taxi would cost between these locations and is it difficult to get a taxi back from the beach? is there a public bus between the 2 areas and about how long would it take for the trip to and from the beach?

We are considering Peppers tours and am concerned that longer tour May have too much walking. Needing water shoes was mentioned but how strenuous is the walking? Are there rocky and lots of uneven trails? We are in our 70s and I have some knee and back issues. Any feedback would be appreciated

We will be traveling in April to these 2 ports and have some questions: Brest-Is there a shuttle from the port into town? Can you get by public bus to the local museums and botanical gardens? Le Havre- Am considering going to Rouen and Givency or just Honfleur. I feeling going to Paris in one day isn’t worth it. Any feedback from those who were in port for 12 hours on a weekday would be appreciated.
