  1. It depends on when you arrive at the terminal.  If you arrive at a busy time then it will add more time to your boarding due to more people checking in. If you plan to arrive later in the boarding process (after noon for example) then it likely won’t add more than 5 minutes.

The $10 shipping covers shipping for both medallions.

Thanks for the info.  I was using Chrome on a PC.  I will download the app to a chrome book and give it a go.  DW will take the chrome book on the cruise anyway.

If you don’t want to download the app here is a link to the web based version

    https://oceanready-personalinfo-ui.prod.ocean.com/

prior to your cruise if you enter your information into the app or via the web and order your medallions to be shipped to your home it can speed up your boarding process.  Rest assured though, if you don’t do any data entry or order medallions you can get everything take care of at the cruise terminal by going through the Blue Lane with your passport and credit card ( I also recommend bringing a copy of your Travel Summary but that’s just me 😄).

i normally tip cash but if they add it to my folio i will not

The tip is automatically added to the folio so you would only give cash if you wanted to tip over the 18%.

Are you not charged the 18% or is it covered? I had assumed it was covered by the package but would appear on the folio.

I haven’t had Premier ( only Plus) but given that the cover charges and associated gratuities for casual meals or speciality desserts covered by Plus don’t show on your folio as debits and credits I would imagine that Premier meals covered similarly wouldn’t show up in the folio.

As a side note you can look in the app under packages and see what you have used.

  5. I just returned from Discovery Princess yesterday so my info is current. Prior to sailing I made reservations for Crown Grill and The Catch by Rudi. The cost was $39 per person, paid in advance, for each venue. We also made reservations for Sabatini which was $35 pp. The day after we dined in each of the venues the 18% gratuity was added to our folio (listed as cover charge). The 360 was booked on the ship at $149 pp and it included the gratuity.

We had the Plus package. Plus covers 2 casual meals and associated gratuity at places like Alfredo’s and Salty Dog Gastropub but does not include any specialty dining so if you have Plus or Standard you will be charged the 18% gratuity.  The Premier package includes 2 Specialty dining meals. If you have Premier you would not be charged the 18% for the 2 included meals.

Hopefully this helps answer your question.

So I purchased Princess EZAir Flights for my husband and I for our cruise in May. It is still 62 days before our flight and we had decided to change the flight for a day earlier so we would have more time in Vancouver before the cruise. So I called Princess to make that happen because we made sure that we purchased flights that were on the flexible plan so that we could change/cancel within 45 days. Well, they tell me that it is going to cost me over $1000 to change or cancel this flight because "the ticket has already been issued". They won't explain to me what that means. I am really frustrated and upset about this. I went with the EZAir because I could change/cancel within 45 days. Any tips or help that anyone can offer would be much appreciated. I can't spend that money to get it changed so if not I guess we won't get that extra day that I wanted. 😞

if you booked flexible air and did not request early ticketing there should not be a change fee if you are more than 45 days out. However, the air prices could have gone up since your original flights were booked. If you accidentally selected restricted air then you are stuck.

To get a true understanding of flight cost and availability go to Princess.com and click on “find a cruise” and find the cruise you are on and then you can pull up flight quotes to see what the air you want to change to would cost today.  If you like the price normally I would suggest using Cruise Personalizer “manage Flights” to change the flights but it sounds like you might have some issue going on ( or you got a bad rep). I would call Princess and tell them you want to change your flights, if they give you a different price than what you see on Princess or tell you there’s a change fee because it’s been ticketed ask to be connected to the air department for assistance since you booked flexible air ( or just start with EZair dept). The air dept should be able to see when or why the ticket was issued.

I have read this thread and see where you selected seats and think that could be the problem… if the airline allows seat selection within EZair then that does not trigger early ticketing or change your air from Flexible to Restricted.  If you asked for early ticketing so you could use miles to upgrade or for other reasons then that would be a different matter.

It is frustrating to me that i can’t use the $350 OBC I have towards speciality dining! I already have Princess Plus, so WTH else am i going to use it on?

you can spend it on: Specialty Dining onboard, Surf and Turf or Filets nightly in the dining room, photos, spa treatments, excursions, jewelry, items from the shops,  cameras, go pros, binoculars, flowers for your cabin, the difference in higher cost of beverages not in Plus packages… that OBC will be gone before you know it!

My bed on the Crown, August 2023, was fine. I was worried after reading so many complaints on this board. I slept well, no issues.

On Crown now and mattress is great! Bed is very comfortable.

Thanks!  I wish I had all that info 🙂  I have the gift card number and PIN but had bought a couple of dozen of them over the last year or so and all the AARP site shows is that cards were purchased - not the card numbers.  But I'll contact them and see how it goes 🙂

AARP can email you the numbers again.  I recently cancelled a cruise that I had used a GC on and for some reason instead of the amount going back to the original card it went to a different princess gift card I had used  (card was also from AARP). I called AARP and they sent me the numbers within a few minutes and then I could check all the balances and locate which card the money had been refunded to.

Travel agents have nothing to do with the Players club....need to talk to them direct.

When you book your cruise there is a code TAs can apply to see whether you have a casino discount available on that cruise and apply the discount.  They also can pull up your offers by looking under your captain circle number,

For some of the free cabin offers they may need to contact the Casino reservation agents to get assistance in applying the offer but recently TA access has been expanded to include the ability to book more of the free offers directly.

@Shelly97060 Would you know if the agent’s commission is affected whether using Princess egift cards, either purchasing directly through Princess or through AARP?  They are both Princess egift cards.  TIA

@PacnGoNow no, the agent commission is not affected by the use of any Princess gift cards. -Shelly

  12. We have stayed in this area (not in the suite but a couple doors up) and only once heard faint bass, it was not loud or enough to be disturbing.  Perhaps bring some earplugs for her as a precaution but unlikely that you will need them.

So basically we have to designate one device to be the one with the WIFI, correct? Or can I log in and out of WIFI between my phone and tablet?

The system doesn’t care which of your devices you use as long as only one at a time is logged in.  For example if you are using your phone and then go to log in with your iPad it will ask you if you want to log off the device that’s currently connected ( your phone) and switch to the new device ( the iPad).
