  1. What is this area like? Decent enough hotel for one night after cruise and prior to flight home? Got it on Hotwire for $75 so it is what it is.

Heading to hotel from ship and resting for afternoon then light rail to city to sight see a bit.

  2. In which case Lynn Canyon is your only viable option, since Sky Pilot is at the top of the gondola - i.e. you have to fork out $40pp, same as Cap, to get to it. Or hike up a mountain, which would seriously impact the time you have to get up to Whistler.

If you were here on a summer weekend parking at the site might be tricky, but in April you'll have no trouble getting into the official car park - and if you did, there is free street parking all over the area.

With all the options given I might pay the $40 and ride the Sea to Sky gondola then I can do their suspension bridge. One place will cover two things. One stop shop.

  3. So i guess i will toss another option out there.

Fly in on Thursday morning and drive to Vancouver the way you suggested through Deception Pass. Stay somewhere near Vancouver that night and on Friday drive to Whistler for the day. Drop the car either at Canada Place or the airport and then spend 2 nights at Blue Horizon. Saturday Capilano Bridge and Sunday morning before the cruise check out Stanley Park.
