  1. Has anyone stayed in this suite?

What is above it on deck 11?

It appears a small part of the pool bar is above, but then a huge empty block.

Is this a crew work facility?  Storage? Crew elevator? What?

I am concerned about the noise.

After 2+ years of cruise withdrawal, we finally have an opportunity to board and sail!

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Thanks again for more info.

Wondering why Regent, and/or my TA did not mention this when I booked the cruise.

Staying in Sydney for 4 nights after the cruise, so thought this post cruise program would be great.

Asked TA what credit is given if we do not take it....still waiting on response.

Is the credit usually what it would cost to "buy" it?  The hotel credit is only $125 pp,  but Regents charges $619pp for the same hotel room.

  3. Thanks all who took the time to comment.

Since the Regent agent my TA and I always use is out on maternity leave,  it took a while to book this.

I finally called Regent and simply asked that it be added to my account.

It is free.  Agent says the Sydney and Beyond is included in the cruise fare.

    So..use it or lose it!

  4. On the Explorer right now.

We are aware of the pool grill option, but have not tried it yet. It appears to have few diners on the nights we walked by. The diners seem to be dressed the same as the other food venues. No shorts or bathing suits, etc. There is a nice variety of food as well.

I am not the dress code **** but do notice many jeans and sneakers in all the other restaurants. Really doesn’t bother me. So...am I going to be drawn and quartered for even mentioning my observations?

  5. Thanks tc about the bathroom inquiry. I am still interested in finding out about a separate bedroom in the Voyager suites, ....how high up the suite level to actually get one, and is it worth the cost? The Explorer has pocket doors to make a bedroom on the penthouse level?

  6. The Seven Seas Suites and above all have a separate bedroom....except for the Voyager? It even looks like the Voyager Suite only has a divider between “rooms.” Do only the grand and master suites on the Voyager have at least 1 1/2 baths?

We love the SS suites on the Mariner and Explorer, but would not consider one on the Voyager if the above is true. Please advise.

  7. Suggestions to get from London hotel to Cruise Port? Just received docs yesterday with added surprise note. Road to Southampton is being repaved. And it is already horrible traffic. Took us 4 hours last year due to one accident! How about a motorcycle or drone?

  8. To clarify my question about the G & H cabins: an example would be on the Alaskan cruises not selling well, and Regent offering a 3 category upgrade. Do people already booked get an upgrade? Are those cabins that have been passed over or upgraded sold at a reduced rate?

  9. On previous Regent cruises, we have had a handful of fellow passengers tell us that their cruise was just spur of the moment, as their TA offered them the cruise with substantial savings. One said that a week after they returned home from one Regent cruise, they were offered a greatly reduced fare cruise sailing in 3 weeks. Also, just wondering how the G & H cabins are sold when a 3 category upgrade is offered for the cruise. Do these cabins sell at a reduced rate?
