Exactly. Which is why I post the date I noticed something. I've noticed more than a few changes between the earliest ship back on (Majestic Princess August 15, 2021) and the latest ship back on (Royal Princess April 6, 2024). Not just in how we're greeted when boarding (no more lines applauding us & thanking us for boarding)
The difference in how you were greeted was due to the return to service after the pause I think.... 😄

Thank you Boston Strong. Good to know. My husband has a detached retina and is very sensitive to lighting.
The app is glitchy, so it will sometimes charge for the specialty restaurants even if they're supposed to be comped; save your c/c statement and a screenprint where the app charged you and have the suite concierge give you onboard credit when you're onboard. 🙂

I believe that 6months to three years you hang out and engage their senses with a dedicated play area together.

I am new to this. So if I buy Princess gift cards through AARP rewards, then I can apply them to my final balance even if I booked through a TA?
Yes

When the dining room manager on Majestic was trying to hurry his staff due to being busy and having people who were in a rush to get to shows, we assured him that we were in no rush and not to worry about us. He learned that for us, that was our standard mode, and to not press our staff. It was lovely. We enjoy the relax and enjoy mode, just like I enjoy the double pour of wine in a balloon glass so that I don't have to order and wait later...it's all about relax and enjoy 😄

I believe (not positive, so please put down the flame throwers) that it is maritime rather than just cruiseline, and the cruiseline is following that guide.

Thanks for posting these! Can you tell us what these dishes are? 😃 Also, is this classified as “experiential dining”?
Britto is experiential 🙂

We just booked the July 13 sailing on the Discovery and I tried to make specialty dining reservations on the app. To my surprise there wasn't a single Sabatini's reservation available all week but The Catch was wide open. I would have thought that the reverse would be true since The Catch seems to be so popular and (at least in my experience) Sabatini's is the least popular. I wonder if there is a glitch in the app and any reservations made prior to the switch stayed with the location and not the actual restaurant? I've written to Princess just in case I'm right - I imagine they would have a lot of unhappy diners if they were expecting one restaurant and wound up with the other.
By the way we will be in Maui in June. Will you still be there?
I'll be there the 10th thru 16th on a FAM trip 😄

We cancelled our Reserve Cabana mini for next Jan.We rebooked the Vista on Oceania this time doing a PH.We did book a reserve mini on the Majestic for 2026. It has one of the rather odd but larger balconies.Any comments on this type of cabin would be appreciated.
Maybe search under Majestic or start a new thread as this is a Sun-specific thread? 🙂

I love to watch your videos on cruise news, short and to the point. Maybe we'll see you on board some day.
My apologies, I thought you were asing in code if we were travel agents 😁

Mr. Padgett,
As a Princess shareholder, T/A and frequent paying guest on many cruiselines (which is a part of my business), I do find that Princess is doing well to separate herself from the others with the new Sun. Admittedly, the launch was flawed, and there are some kinks to iron out, but I'm optimistic that these can be ironed out, especially as you have delayed the launch of the Star. My guess is that this was done to fix some of the issues that have been noted on the Sun.
I know that things aren't perfect in any business; I don't look at anything as rainbow glitter and hearts and flowers, but an opportunity for improvement. Thinking of the course that Princess is taking, it appears that you are trying to appeal to families while giving more distinction to those who purchase suites as well, which are both good business moves.
Thank you for the forward-thinking and changes on the fly.

Just a regular Jackpot bingo ticket. You can usually walk in toward the end and skip all the previous games. Only good on a certain day/time. In my opinion (I'm not a bingo player), it is worthless.
It's worthless until you win $4,000... 😄

I feel for you.
Have you seen how MSC treated Ben & David, well-known video makes (can't mention the video site or I'll get into trouble!)...?
Honestly, I prefer to see how they treat regular guests rather that how they treat the "well known video bloggers"... 🙂
