    With the 8 day delay, due to Irma, encountered in the dry dock I was worried that some of the post about possible cancellations of the September 27th and October 2nd cruises out of Jacksonville might become reality. I called Carnival last night and the poor little girl I talked to knew less than I did. I called my PVP, of 15 years, and she told me there was no mention of the Elation in the employee meeting this morning. So it's my hope that work has been knocked up a notch and hopefully all will be completed in the time allotted, before Irma, Jose and Marie reared their ugly heads. 🤞🏼

    Our prayers and thoughts are with the people of the Caribbean.

    Your boarding pass bar code is scanned. I was worried about that also, but it worked out fine. If you preorder your Cheers package the bartenders/waiters are made aware of it when they scan your boarding pass. If you purchase after you board adjustments are made to your sign sail. Those that are concerned about their SnS being taken and used, relax, your face comes up on the screen when your SnS or your boarding pass is scanned. [emoji4]Enjoy!!

    my biggest pet peeve is something i see at home everywhere and that is:

    Step to the side, let the other people get off the elevator first then get on the elevator. it makes getting on/off the elevator quicker for everyone

     

     

     

    OMG!! I think some feel like the have to RUSH the door as soon as there is the slightest inkling that the door is opening!! STOP IT!!

    Thanks, AD5ZA. That helps a lot! I'm not normally prone to seasickness, but for some reason I'm freaking myself out about this one. At least it's only a 3-night cruise.

     

     

     

    Get some motion sickness pills, my hubby and I take them EVER cruise now at 30+. He has inner ear and I am prone to car sickness.     Toddler Using Pool/Waterworks?

    On our last cruise, I took our swim diapered DD to the splash area. I let her walk around on the outside, and splash her feet in the puddled for 5 minutes or so. She was happy with that. Her diaper was still dry (outside and in), as with most of her body. All were happy in the end.

    Now 2 of my kids are potty trained, and one in in diapers. We plan on going to the beach for try water play. But the most pool time with be some feet in the water and 'splashy splashy".

    OP. If you want to be the person responsible for the pool having to be drained and cleaned go ahead and DON'T follow the rules. If you do decide to break the rules I hope someone tells you to take him out. Boy won't that hurt your feelings. Then you will go crying to GS wanting compensation because your feelings got hurt. Grow up. Be an adult. Follow the HEALTH CODE.

     

    Why is it people can't follow the rules because they are "special".

    OP, believe me when I say you will see way more critical comments on these boards about the subject then you will ever hear from actual passengers and crew on actual ships.

     

     

     

    Dont got in the pool with swim diapers. Kids area/water park, if you choose to have them there no one is going to say a thing. We went on NCL with our 18 month old last year and had a blast, so enjoy the heck out of your experience. Looks like it will be Disney for us for a few years! :D

     

     

     

    🤢There are a lot more people that will complain, not to your face, because of the conflict that can occur with IGNORANT people.

    How hard is this enforced?

     

     

     

    If I'm around or in the pool it's ENFORCED!! I'm sorry there's NOT a diaper/swimmer or what ever their called that will contain POOP! I'm not going to be in the same water that your child poops in. If he's potty trained fine but if not let him in the pool, if he poops then the pool is closed, drained and sanitized. Want to piss people off if this happens have at it. It's posted, it's a rule deal with it..

    Elation Dry Dock

    I am so psyched if the Elation does indeed get the Alchemy bar as John stated. Maybe that was one of the surprises he talked about before. In previous posts and when I spoke to my PVP recently, the Alchemy bar was not originally in the plans. Just Guys Burgers, Blue Iguana and Red Frog were being added.

     

     

     

    Keeping my fingers crossed. We sail mid November.

     

     

     

    I know right!!!! I'll give up balconies for an Alchemy bar!!!! We sail Oct 2 will definitely keep you posted!
