  1. "Alright Know It All's" here is the direct number to Carnival Security Services-First its called "Do Not Sail" List. Within 72 hours of booking your trip with Carnival they do a background check on everyone on the booking number, yes minors too. IF they flag you in any form or fashion they will send you an email telling you to call 800-438-6744 when prompted enter the ext 78830 that will get you to their security team. If your lucky you get Miss Attitude Shelly, she will be very frank with you and & to the point. Your a RSO.... or Felon....whatever they pull on you "through third party agency" your not going anywhere with them. They will also forward to Homeland or Homeland will forward to them.

Ask her why they just don't put on the booking contract RSO/Felons not allowed? Silence, she would not answer the question.

So I asked my attorney, he says their silent on it because in some states it is illegal for them to do a background check without your consent. Also they will not mention on the booking since it might perceive them as trying to be proactive by screening passengers before boarding. Creating a false sense of security to the passenger. But in fact there is not one documented case of any RSO ever committing a new crime on a ship. They know the greater danger is the one sex offender that has not been caught nor has a record. Then they would be liable because some lawyer chomping on the bit would sue them. You think Harvey Weinstein & Bill Crosby and all the rest of them not tried and convicted are on the "No Sail List" I think not...

In order to be a RSO you must be convicted and that is why they are not on the list. But as I have said before I don't care if they stop an RSO from getting on a ship. I would even be fine if RSO were put on a boat full of hole in the middle of the Atlantic. I am pretty sure there have been instances of RSO committing new crimes but because of the ship being under a foreign flag they have different reporting rules. Maybe the crime shouldn't have been committed and this person could enjoy traveling where they choose.

  2. They did.

Thats sad that was a great show. When we were there in 2015 it was hard to get into. I had almost skipped it and left the family there to go to my fast pass at Tower of Terror. I am glad I didn't except Tower of Terror is gone now.

  3. Aladdin showing only on the second night has been the past standard, but starting after your cruise it's now running the first two nights until further notice. We will have to see how long they will stay that way. The thought was to give everyone a chance to see their most popular show.

Is it the same Aladdin show they have in Disney California?

  4. Being from Kansas City, perhaps I am spoiled, but I would suggest that part of the problem is that in my humble opinion, Guy Fieri is a tv personality who himself has no clue what real barbecue tastes like. The best BBQ comes from small locally owned restaurants, not corporate chain restaurants.....

Kansas City BBQ is the best. I'm not a sauce guy I like mine dry and seasoned.

Guy is an idiot with an ego. His food is crap.

  5. We have gone just to look at the art work. Then we found out the have a gallery and we didn't need to go to the auction. It took us a few cruises to figure this out. In October we got a free piece of art for staying in a suite. We got an envelope with a paper inviting us to pick out our free artwork valued at $200. We thought it was a ploy and ignored it. Then they called us on the last sea day to make sure we go the invite and then to see why we hadn't come down.

  6. The place that rents the heels will come and get you from the port but it could take them 20 minutes depending on how busy they are. The biggest problem with renting a vehicle there is the traffic. There is basically one road around the island and it does get backed up.

  7. You can snorkel there they have a few statues and and an anchor that fish hang out on. You can rent the gear for $10usd with a $10usd deposits. Also at the hut where you rent the snorkel gear you can buy a scuba or snorkel pkg and they will take you out to the reef.

  8. Cozumel is pretty safe since there is only a ferry to get on or off the island and it's not cheap or a short ride. Also everybody on the island knows they have to keep the island safe or tourist stop coming. Taxi drivers are the eyes and ears for the police. The worst crime there is usually a pick pocket for tourist or a stolen tv for a resident that left their door unlocked. But don't let your guard down to much and believe you're perfectly safe as things happen. Have fun

  9. I just got back from a week in an All-Inclusive resort. Cozumel is known for it's excellent scuba diving, as stated by an above poster, and the reefs are pretty far out and deep from shore. So, if you are not up for that, I would recommend either an all-inclusive option, like Nacho Cocum, Mr.Sanchos, or a day pass to the Sunscape Sabor Cozumel, in order to use their beach, pool, and enjoy some food and unlimited drinks. If you're not looking for an additional beach day, then I would recommend parasailing, catamaran snorkeling, or maybe a trip inland to the Ruins. But, Cozumel is knwon for its water-realed activities, so if you're still in the planning stages, plan on getting wet while you're in Cozumel. Also, if you;'re not on a Carnival or Royal Caribbean brand cruise line, you will likely dock at the International Pier, which is right downtown, and there are many good shops that arent regulated by the cruise lines (the cruise lines get part of the profits from sales sold within the port areas that they built, so it will be cheaper to shop in town than at the ship-sponsered stores). You can also pick up some good Mexican food downtown. I hope I helped a little bit :D

We are planning a fly in vacation for 2018 to Coz. Where did you stay and how did you like staying versus cruising to there?
