After 29 days of hassle my application went into "Under Check" status (which means it has left the contractor and is now in the hands of the Brazilian government) and has been in that status for a week. My wife's application went into that status today after 36 days of hassle..

Carnival seems to have a issue here with low class
What is your definition of low class?

There is also 9:30, at any particular hour there may be several things scheduled and you need to scroll down

It is done on the bidding page

Thank you! Very important information if they close it off from changes or cancellations 9 days before.
They are probably working that cruise right now and close it off while working on it.
Let us know if it stays locked for a while.Good luck!
It never locked for me (same Oct 1 cruise), I actually cancelled all my bids this morning

Thread is 11 pages long and no a single bid has been accepted.
Title: How is the bidding system doing? I would dare to say....Nothing is happening, yet. Wake me when the first acceptance comes in.
First applicable cruise is 14 days away. I'll let you know when I get my rejection email for that one.

Has anybody had their bid accepted and won the bid yet?
The first cruise that will be hearing anything does not depart until Oct 1 (I am on one of those). I wouldn't expect anything for a couple weeks.

The TA gets it and either forwards or contacts you about it. If you book with Princess directly, the email comes to you without middle man.
I booked through a TA. The email came direct to me with a copy to the TA.

No mention of Caribbean Princess Sept 20 NYC to Quebec !
The actual page in question directs cruisers to Canada to the bottom of the page, which outlines the specific Canada requirementz

When we visited Norway we went to a Viking exhibit and were told (quite firmly) that Vikings did not have horned helmets.
Who said I was a Viking? 😲

All our bookings for our March Money Pit Cruise are green. No way am I going to even log into the website app for fear of losing that.
I'm with you, although I did actually log in long enough to see everything was green, but I declined to click anything and made a hasty retreat.

I thought the specialty gratuity was about $20 per person per meal? If it's only $20 for those 2 X 2 (2 people, two meals) that's not a bad deal. But for $80
My specialty dining service charge fo two passengers, two restaurants was $31.60 two weeks ago on Encore.

Answer to #1 is actually YES. See line 7 in the posted rules above. Just 10 days ago I got more than one credit per port in St Thomas.

NO power strips, NO 3 prong, NO surge protectors.
The ships that have allowed my personal electrical cord on board never seemed concerned about three prongs.

Just to reiterate, I have been requesting the water for about 18 years on various cruise lines, and the success rate has been about 50%. If it is missing I ask the steward and success rate is 100%.

Isn't everyone's starting point different based on the price they paid and what they currently have?

Most of the Haven upgrades for Jan 30 Encore went out on Monday. There were a few more on Tuesday
Same general schedule on my Jan 16 Encore sailing. I figured they were all done, but then I got my upgrade on Friday for the Sunday sailing.

I think we once just went into the show area and sat in the roped off Haven area, even though we hadn't paid for Haven. Nobody was checking cards....
I prefer to follow rules and guidelines.

Looking at the 2 bdrm villa - for the 2 of us I think I will feel like a queen.
Any advice appreciated.Go for it. Bid whatever you are comfortable with. Right now there are 11 Haven Courtyard Suites unfilled , but only one 2BR. I would bid on all Haven rooms, although the 2BR is least likely.
We just got off the Encore. I had bid on all Haven rooms and won the Haven Spa even though that was marked as sold out for 3 months before the trip and the status never changed.

We had a Spa balcony.
Plus we're simple, no need to spend 10k on a room I won't spend much time in.
$10K for a club balcony suite on Encore?
