  1. Looking at booking either a 10-night southern carib or a 14-day east/west which is actually two 7-night back-to-back cruises.

We don't mind families, as we have young children ourselves, but have would prefer to avoid crowds as much as possible, if possible.

Do you think the 10-night might have less college cruisers and less people overall? Do you think the 14-day BTB would be busier because they are two 7-day cruises?

Will be traveling with parents in their 70s and I don't think they would appreciate any rowdiness or a ship that's too crowded. We last cruised in November and it was wonderfully quiet and not too full.

    Thanks!

  2. we love our beaches. That's the highlight of our trip - visiting a beautiful beach at each island. We loved the Antigua beaches and Grand Cayman. Hoping to find a beach in Cozumel without seaweed at the shoreline and nice fine sand and clear calm waters.

If such a beach exists - please offer your recommendations.

    Many thanks!

    Jennifer

  3. We are interested in visiting this beach nearby the cruise terminal for the day. Looked beautiful from the ship. Has anyone been? Wondering if it's nice for swimming and what it is called by name to make it easy to describe to taxi driver? I understand it's the end of Fort Lauderdale Beach, but is it called South Beach Park??

    Thanks

  4. I will have a handsome amount of OBC for our next cruise. It is nonrefundable. Is it possible to buy casino credits and have them charged to the stateroom account - and then cash them out for US dollars in the casino?

So essentially the onboard credit turns into USD to spend on the islands?

    Thanks

  5. We had a mishap on our last cruise and Princess kindly has given us $100 each ($200 total) in Onboard credits for future use.

I have just booked our next cruise and I see the promotional onboard credit, but I don't see the credit that was gifted to us from Princess. Am I looking in the wrong place? What would it be titled as?

I have three credit categories, which I believe are all related to the new booking (not the credit from Princess for the mishap)

    1. Booking Promotion

    2. Passenger Relations

    3. Onboard Credit Promotion

I wondered if it was in one of these categories, but the full amount does not add up. Still missing some.

    Anyone experienced with this?

    Thanks

  6. I am fairly new to Princess having only taken one princess cruise this past November. For those of you familiar with the promos and sales, is the current promo one of the better ones? Would like to cruise next Nov 2016 and wonder if this is worth snatching up? Offering $400 credit for balcony.

  7. just cruised the royal for 10 nights earlier this month. It was fabulous. Would actually choose the royal for future cruises over other ships. We got off after 10 nights with nothing to complain about. And we are picky..... Would maybe try to get a stateroom either aft or fwd to avoid the stairs or elevators. It was a gorgeous ship and the food/service/entertainment was all top notch.

Thank you to all that answered. That has settled us down a bit. Really like this 14 nighter in the med. we now may go ahead with it.

    Thanks guys.

    Cheers bob.

  8. I am looking at booking a cruise in March 2017. Just got off the Royal and loved it so want to go again!

We loved our stateroom at the front of the ship on Lido. There is 1 stateroom left in that position for our sailing in March 2017. However, the price is very high now and I am almost certain it will drop before March 2017.

So the question is - if I book the stateroom, Cat DZ, and that category sells out......can i still be given the price reduction of the sales that come up? And how would I know what the price for that given category is if it is sold out? I would be able to see the other categories that are still available - but are sold out categories still given the promo reductions?

Trying to figure out if it's best to book at the high price now to guarantee the room we like, or wait until the prices go down. Thanks!!

  9. Well I've been super excited for our upcoming caribbean cruise.

The only thing is the weather for the entire first 8 days looks dismal with mainly overcast and rain.

For anyone else taking this cruise or another at this time - are you concerned about the forecast?

I was looking at the extended forecast on Accuweather.com. It's just our luck - every time we go tropical = RAIN.

    Fingers crossed. !!!

  10. We will be there for the day on our cruise. We have children ages 4 & 8 and are interested in an island tour, potentially including the soufriere / pitons region.

Just wondering if it is safe or recommended to hire a taxi driver who offers us an island tour? We did this on Aruba and it worked out great, although I am aware that every island is different and don't know if St. Lucia is more dangerous.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

  11. We are also looking into the dolphin discovery on St. Kitts. Just wondering if you recall the pricing of purchasing photos? We couldn't afford the cd that you mentioned, so I wonder if there are cheaper options? Do they allow you to take your own pics?

    Thanks!!

We did the dolphin swim and absolutely loved it! We looked out because we were the only ones there for the early time....well worth the money! We bought the cd, that was $145 for 210 pictures of the 3 of us. It was about a 10 minute taxi ride, $8.00 each way for the 3 of us. Feel free to ask any other questions.
  12. We will set sail on the Royal on October 31st. I've called princess and there's only a handful of children booked for this particular sailing.

Do you think they will offer candy and trick-or-treating for the children that are onboard? My kids are super excited and are packing costumes, but I don't know what to tell them what to expect in terms of halloween activities. Candy is most important to them at their young ages. Ha ha

    Thanks

  13. We arrive back in Fort Lauderdale on the Royal to disembark after our cruise. Schedule states ship arrives at 6 am! What time would we have to disembark at the latest? I am sure it's early, but just wondering a general guideline so we can plan for the day. our flight doesn't leave until 630 pm. Thanks!

  14. I am about to purchase casino credits to redeem for cash once onboard. I wanted to purchase $1500 USD, but it seems as though $1000 is the max allowed.

Is this correct or is there a way around this to buy more credits?

    Thanks

  15. I am ready to purchase my credit for my fast-approaching caribbean cruise.

My sole purpose for purchasing credit is to cash out in US dollars onboard and spend it on the islands and on the ship.

That being said, am I correct in thinking the best (and perhaps only) way to purchase USD and cash them out once onboard is to buy CASINO credit and cash it out at the casino? Or is it onboard credit that I can cash out onboard?

Sorry, I am a little confused about the credits.....thx!
