  1. We did the Kennedy space center excursion, but it was on NCL, also didn’t get there until 1, I reasoned it as something we haven’t done yet and when would we go back to do it? It is an amazing experience to see some of these exhibits, but not enough time to see it all. In all the times we’ve gone to Florida, and I’ve been many times but most were to Disney, we never made it over to the space center. So for us we bit the bullet and overpaid to do the excursion. In the end we had fun and saw something new, and it was a drizzly day so not much of a sit by the pool day. As far as Nassau goes, I am disillusioned as well. My next cruise only stops at Ocean Cay so if in the future we have a stop in Nassau I will be doing some research into private excursions there, maybe parasailing? Jet skis? Again, something different that we haven’t done before. Good luck with your planning, and since you are a first time cruiser use the time to enjoy the ship, you will find that staying behind while the bulk of the people get off you will have your pick of seats!

We are flying Frontier down to Orlando on 4/8. It is our first (and probably last) time flying Frontier. We initially booked it because it was a direct flight. Direct flights are rare from our home airport of Rochester, NY. Almost every destination requires a layover for us unless it is a major hub we are flying into. Frontier was one of two airlines in Rochester that flies some direct flights to airports in Florida, because we have a lot of snowbirds here. It also appeared to be pretty cheap, but we learned quickly that looks can be deceiving. By the time we paid extra to select our seats and bring bags (carry-ons aren't even included), we paid as much or more as we would have for a Delta flight. But it did still have the advantage of being direct. The reason I say this will likely be our last Frontier flight is that the airline announced it is leaving the Rochester market in May.

As far as Frontier, we have flown a few times from Providence, which is probably similar to Rochester as it’s a regional airport that’s close to us and has reasonable flights. But like you, frontier is leaving in April!! I bought the discount den which saved us a lot of money but our cruise is in July, so we have to go out of Boston, no big deal but it was only $168 pp round trip compared to $300 from any airline out of PVD. This will probably be our last time on frontier as well.

I can warn you that it is no frills, you barely get a tray table!! The first time we flew I got on and was like, where’s the rest of the seat?! I compare them to folding chairs! One trick I have been lucky with in the past is not paying for seating assignments. If I did buy seats this time it would have been another $60 pp round trip. I find that if I check in as soon as I can, like 24 hours immediately, I get 4 seats together. The last flights we did in August we had the middle and aisle seats going across a row, so no window seats. So hopefully it will work again for us this July. Looking forward to hearing all about your journey and especially Ocean Cay Marine Reserve!!!

  3. I have a July sailing on seaside and there is no option for scuba, I posted a question about some of the different options that showed up for my sailing but I have not seen any reviews of people that have done it, and no one has responded yet. I guess I will wait until the seaside starts sailing from Port Canaveral and circle back🤪

  4. I have a cruise booked for July on the seaside, it has an overnight on ocean cay and I’ve been looking at my cruise planner app and very little has been available for advanced booking but today I saw more options and was wondering if anyone has done the ceclo electric pedals? I’ve taken a screenshot from the excursion booking below, there is also family rafts available as well as family kayaks. Has anyone rented these and have any insight on them? I’ve looked on YouTube and I haven’t seen these mentioned anywhere.

One thing I did see on a YouTube video was a map of ocean cay and it showed in purple the different food options and one says Boho house. Any insight as to what this is? No one has mentioned this and I’m curious as to what it is?

We will be in the yacht club and intend on using ocean house for lunch, but if anyone knows what the boho house is I’d be interested in your input!!

Also yacht club related, I’ve seen that umbrellas are included in the yacht club beach area, what about the floating mats? I’ve rented them before on NCLs private island and enjoyed them a lot, if included it would be great, but if it’s cheaper to add before cruise I will, but if included I would use the money elsewhere!

    thanks!!!

  5. Hi! I haven’t booked yet but looking into a Seaside cruise that has an overnight on Ocean Cay. Does anyone have a full breakdown of excursions offered with pricing? I know sometimes it’s varied depending on the dates but I would love to see what’s out there as far as variety and pricing.

  6. Hi I’m considering booking the encore for next February with the bogo air promotion, when else can 4 people fly for $1200 from Boston to Florida? Never mind for February vacation!!! My question is about the deviation request and the transfers. It says in the terms and conditions that each person would receive a deviation credit of $25?? Can you opt out of the transfers? If we were coming in the day or 2 before the cruise we would just Uber to a hotel and then to the port, so I wouldn’t want/need the transfers. Any help with past experiences is greatly appreciated!!

  7. As far as the yacht club restaurant on ocean cay, what was on the menu?? Was it only open a short time? What about the bar, I watched a couple of YouTube videos that showed the restaurant/bar but didn’t show the menu or food. If we are in the yacht club area in lounge chairs by the beach will servers come by for drink service or do we have to go find a bar? Thanks for any input!

Did you see any one using?

CECLO LUXURY ELECTRIC PEDALO - 2 HRS RENTAL

Are you ready for something new and exclusive? Glide through Ocean Cay's surrounding turquoise waters with the newest invention on the market, the Ceclo - the luxury yacht of pedal boats, with electric assistance ready for all your adventures. These beautiful boats are made of recycled champagne cork, wood, and aluminum. The boat is yours for two hours to explore or simply slowly drift in the tranquility of the beautiful Bahamas.

Please note: Max 4 guests per CECLO. One person over 18 (parent or legal guardian) has to be present on the boat during the rental at all times. Minimum age to participate is 8 years. Provided lifejackets must be worn at all times.

Says 4 people, doesn't look like enough space for 4 adults. Maybe  2 adults, 2 small children. What about plus size people, wondering if there is a weight limit?

I’m interested in these for my July cruise, I’d love to hear someone’s experience renting these!!

Sitting in the seaside YC topsail lounge as I type this. Most drinks are included. Not all. I know they charge extra for Hendricks 🙂

butlers will go out of their way to get you almost anything you want. Inside and outside the YC is like night and day lol.

Charge for Hendricks?? Oh noooooo!!! I guess as long as there’s tanqueray I’ll be ok!

  10. I am lowly bronze on ncl, not much but something!! I did the status match mostly to get the 5%(somethings better than nothing!) when I logged in to see how many points I have/how many I would earn from cruising, they only gave me 1 point! Is this normal? Has anyone else matched to classic and only been given 1 point! Others who have matched to higher tiers, do they just give you the bare minimum points for that level?

  11. After weeks of trying to use the search function and not coming up successfully I decided to start asking some questions!!

I am sailing with my husband in July in an interior yacht club cabin on the seaside.

the yacht club experience states all drinks within the yacht club and all other restaurants and bars, to me that sounds like no matter the price, we get it, no upcharge. Wouldn’t that include the drinks from venchi also? Does being in the yacht club include a certain drink package? Premium or plus? My booking confirmation states the easy package and internet and $100 obc have been added to your stateroom, so do I only get the easy package or does the yacht club trump that package?

I’m also interested in what yacht club guests get for free, or in other words, what everyone else would normally be charged for but is gratis for yacht club. Has anyone had an experience where you thought something was being provided as a yacht club amenity but were charged for it? I have read room service menus that have prices on them, pizza and such, but have also read reviews of people that had their butler bring them pizza, has anyone gotten charged for this or other services? I would hate to ask for something and assume it is part of my cruise experience and then be charged for it.

Also the new private island Ocean Cay, I have tried and tried to find the lunch menu for the yacht club restaurant, I realize that it may change and that I still have 6 months before sailing to read others posts and reviews but I’m just putting it out there to anyone sailing now or recently or upcoming I would greatly appreciate your input!!

please don’t tell me to do a search or to look on YouTube, I already have, extensively!!

    thank you!!
