We were on the March 13 Reflection that turned back two days into the cruise.  We were promised a full refund and a 50% FCC.  We got the FCC about four weeks ago and today received the full refund on our credit card.  I sent an email to LLP last Friday.  Got a call Friday, another call Monday to tell me my refund had been processed, and today it’s on my credit card.  
     

    Very frustrating overall, and you should not have to resort to writing to the president, but I’m glad it’s resolved.   
     

    Looking forward to better seas ahead.

I have a courtesy hold made in April that expires on May 31.  I was on the phone with the Celebrity Rep and he said they were allowing this extra time due to all the refunds in process - understanding that people were expecting to receive $$ from Celebrity before they wanted to commit to spending more $$...

Thank you for this wonderful review.  Your writing style is engaging, informative and fun.  We were “never Edgers” for the first two years but now prices have moderated and we’re booked to try it out next November.  Your review really heightened the anticipation.  Thanks for taking the time to do it.

    Just curious, what did your TA say since you've consulted them?  Your cruise will be priced to the current rate.  All I can say is do a mock booking on the X site for a SV and choose the rate with all four perks.  That price will be the price you will currently pay and you will pay the difference if any.  You will have to ask your travel agent if any of the OBC you have over the $300 that is included with the 4 perks remains.

     

    We cannot tell you if your perks and OBC will remain since we do not know how much you paid on your original booking and what the current pricing for the SV is.    

    The TA said she would confer with Celebrity and let me know.  I know I will have to pay more for the cabin.  But I don’t want to lose my perks so I will see when they call me tomorrow.

If you still want to change to an SV, you need to call your TA (or Celebrity if you booked directly) to find out if you can keep perks from your original booking.

    I have looked at the deck plans, I know a 1A is not an IV and have contacted my TA. Was asking for input or experience in this situation.

I have a 1A booked on Edge for next November.  Am not interested in the IV.  I’m now interested possibly upgrading to an SV.  There are lots of cabins available so that’s not an issue.  I don’t want to lose my perks etc (loads of OBC and all four perks).   Any experience with this - can I simply change rooms/categories, pay the difference in price and keep all the perks as is?  .  

  7. Our PALL has always shown on our Express Pass.  This time, it is not showing.  I contacted my TA who confirmed it was included so I don't anticipate a problem, but I have my original booking and written proof.... just in case... Don't want to be delayed getting my first Chardonnay!

We always enjoy your reviews Paul.  We were on Silhouette a couple of weeks ago over Thanksgiving also to the ABCs and GC.  I found things a bit disorganized in terms of dining reservations, or proper stocking/restocking of bars (eg no Evian water anywhere until about day eight)  and there were many large families on board, including many kids in diapers in the pool/hot tubs despite repeated attempts by staff to keep them out.   I will look forward to your observations   Enjoy!

    Where do you see the option to upgrade your drink package?  I can never seem to be able to do that on line. 

  10. I’m having this same problem.  Our cruise is 36 days out.  Unable to order or ‘view’ luggage tags.  We have also booked Celebrity Air.  Is this the cause of the delay?  I called CC and they told me they weren’t available yet and to check back regularly .....

    This is a great review so far.  I  have a tip to give you.  When you are sailing into Stockholm, get up early and I mean early!  Like 5 AM, so you can view the scenery in the archipelago as you glide in.  Order room service and have breakfast on your balcony.  It is magical.  I gave that tip to someone recently and she came back after the cruise to thank me.  We would never have known about this if we hadn't received the tip from someone on the cruise with us.  The scenery is lovely on the way out too but just not quite the same lighting.  I agree with the poster who recommended Tuscan for the sail out.

    We read this tip and did it.  So glad we did.  Also read the tip about booking at Tuscan for the sail out.  Another excellent tip.  The sail in/out at the different times are unforgettable.  

  12. Though I usually get email notifications re sales, I didn’t on this.  Saw this thread.  Went in and sure enough there were sales.  Booked two excursions.  Funny thing is that for one I had booked during a previous sale the price had increased.  It pays to check regularly I find.
