Just stand in the picture about a foot away from the couple, choose the digital picture for free and crop yourself out. Easy peasy.

I think my solution will be to have GS remove half the tip for room stewards just so they "officially" think that's what I'm doing. Then just pay that plus what I usually pay extra in cash. No harm to the steward, but maybe sends a message to Royal.

My planner is stating $22.99 for a 12 pack plus 18% gratuity. Why on planet earth would they charge 18% gratuity unless someone is going to ice them down and pour them in cups as needed!!

Do as cruiseguy1016 said. No questions asked.

Can they be used to tap in/out of the slot machines? That would be useful to me not having to take my seapass in/out of my pocket.

(Getting from the airport to the Port is easy, via Lyft among other approaches, but getting Lyft on the way back seems nigh impossible, so I am interested in what shuttle services folks are using...)
Saltwater Moms came highly recommended and quoted me $90 each way for Houston/Lobby. Find them on FB and send them a message. Galveston Express was another that was recommended.

How was the steak?
Actually it was better than on most previous cruise. They now only have 2 options, medium-well and medium-rare. They have perfected the time on them. I can't tell you have many times mine was undercooked as I like medium-well but this tie they were spot-on! Everyone in my group liked them.

I'm a picky eater but have always been able to pick something each night. But with this new menu on the Harmony a few weeks ago there was a couple nights when the menu just sucked. The Caribbean night was one for sure, can't remember the other. I can only do the strip steak so much...

I do know for a fact they will not allow you to book your annual prime cruise at NextCruise for th obc. Many have tried and failed. There's a FB group that has LOTS of Prime folks who are very knowledgeable. Just search Casino Royale

Do some of you people ACTUALLY take the time to look at what's being left on other's tables? That just blows my mind. I can't EVER recall giving a crap about what others are eating, leaving, wearing, etc. This is also not about "entitlements," it's about the fact we CAN and are ALLOWED to order as much as we want to, period. That's the way it has been since cruising began, or at least as long as me and others in my family have been cruising. They have always pushed the whole "order it, try it and if you don't like it, don't eat it. And in all of those years, we've been "allowed" to eat what and how we want. On the Harmony 3 weeks ago, it was RIDICULOUS that we couldn't have our 2 appetizers, main courses, or desserts brough out at the same time. It REALLY slowed the whole process down having to wait for the staff to bring this stuff out when ready. I always order a salad and french onion soup and always ask for them to be brought at the same time so that the soup can cool (very hot), while I eat my salad. They would NOT do it. The waiter acted like she would be in big trouble if she did, so I didn't push it. Again, this SLOWED the table down and if their goal is to speed it up to 75 minutes per meal, they are failing. I left a very poor review of the dining experience and hopefully many others do in hopes of a change.

Hopefully the new Icon class ships take some of these kids away from the others. I personally don't think I'll ever step foot on that class due to how much it is geared toward the younger crowd. My kids grew up cruising and I always had curfews for them and if one got in trouble, that was the end of their freedom for the remainder of the cruise.

it will eventually show up in your account. I can't recall how long it takes but someone else may know!
My experience is they show up in the planner 1-2 weeks after redemption.

On the Harmony a couple weeks ago our waiter was very strict, even acted afraid to bring out more than one dish at a time. I like to order a salad and french onion soup and I like them both brought at the same time so I can mix up the cheese in the soup and let it cool while I eat my salad as it's usually very hot. She was NOT allowing it which just held up the dinners. Not sure why they wanna piss of their guests, but that is just stupid.

There will probably be fewer "Tip Tip Hooray" envelopes filled, maybe with lumps of coal?
This was me a couple weeks ago on the Harmony. No way in hell am I going to tip more for less service. I was tempted to go have some removed but punishing the room steward isn't the right move.

Lesson learned I hope, not for you but for others reading this. ALWAYS purchase travel insurance the day you book your cruise!! So sorry about your wife. She's in my prayers.🙏

6K people trying to get into shows that hold 100-150. I booked shows for a cruise a couple weeks ago but something else better was available so my group of 6 was a no-show. Go get in line early and they almost always have some no-shows.

There are currently travel advisories in Mexico, Honduras and Jamaica. Just got back from Jamaica which was fine and my next cruise is going to Mexico and Honduras and will enjoy those as usual. I don't go into parts of these cities that are outside the tourist areas unless on a shore excursion with a group. Then I figure I'm likely the poorest one of the bunch so I stand a better chance!😂

I want to get to Damond status faster to receive its benefits.
Then I want to status match to MGM gold to get their benefits.
From there I want to match to Caesars Diamond plus to get their benefits
Then match to Hyatt Explorist to get their benefits
All this with getting Diamond Status on RCL for lifetime or when programs get cuts.
How have people on here reached RCL DIamond Status quickly?
Do you gamble? Try to get to Prime level and take advantage of free cruises and it's WAY cheaper than booking and paying solo prices. I sail with others who are Prime and we each go solo and get double points. I just figured this system out and working my way to D+ quickly!

Did you mean hotel with transfer to and from cruise port? Right now I have a hotel just outside of Houston booked for Saturday night. A taxi from airport to hotel is only going to run me about $10, so I'm not too worried about that. It's the trip from the Hotel to the cruise port the next day that has me concerned. I would rather not have to pay $80 or more for a taxi/uber from the hotel to port.
I never thought to check and see if any of the hotels between airport and cruise port offer shuttles to cruise port.
Oh...ok...guess you meant look at taking a shuttle BACK to airport from hotel and then RC provided transport from airport to cruise port Sunday morning. I can check on that as well. Thx.
Did you come up with a plan? We're getting ready to book this same cruise and coming from Ohio as well. Never been out of Galveston so trying to figure out the logistics of getting to/from and staying the night before. Did you get a price from RCCL from Houston/Lobby Airport to terminal and back?

Why would you leave lights on in your cabin at night and why would you leave a/c on in a room you weren't in? What a waste of energy resources.
Because their a/c sucks and certainly wouldn't want to start from scratch every time I entered the room. These rooms are NEVER cold enough for me.

After being out in the heat and having some drinks, taking a shower and an hour nap in the a/c before dinner primes me for the night life!

Just off the Harmony and there were blank stateroom cards in all 3 of our rooms. Curious if this system is on the newer ships

Upcoming Sales Possible Dates?
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted · Edited by sailor05
Our cruise on Allure in August is currently $80.99 but has been as "low" as $72.99 which is what I suspect may see again Memorial Day. The closer it gets, the less sales they have.
