As such, Norwegian Breakaway’s scheduled return on September 1 has been postponed. We are working closely with government and local port authorities to confirm the ship’s anticipated return of September 4. Norwegian Breakaway – September 1, 2019 Sailing Due to Hurricane Dorian in the Caribbean, the United States Coast Guard are taking all necessary precautions to prepare for the storm and have made the final decision to close PortMiami this evening, August 31, 2019. As such, Norwegian Breakaway’s seven-day Western Caribbean cruise will be modified. She will no longer call to Roatan, Honduras; Harvest Caye, Belize; nor Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. Instead, she will sail a modified four-day itinerary, which will include a sail date of Wednesday, September 4, pending approval by government and local port authorities. If confirmed, she will spend a day at sea on September 5, call to Cozumel, Mexico on September 6 and remain at sea on September 7 before returning to Miami, Florida on September 8, as planned. We are in constant communication with the United States Coast Guard, as we continue to monitor the storm and will provide an update by Sunday, September 1 at 8 p.m. or earlier.
  2. Hi Mary Ann. So far, I’ve only been able to book Choir of Man and had to call to book that. ~Angie~
  3. You should be able to call shore excursions (1-866-625-1167) and make a request for the 2 adults. If for some reason that does not work, you can definitely make a request for 2 onboard at the shore ex desk.
  4. No transportation involved. That particular beach is a short walk from the ship. The website is trying to charge for 3 people. My guess is there’s an age minimum but I would confirm the minimum age before making the purchase. Per the website, the cost is Adult $29/Child $29.
  5. I smoke but I avoided that room on Escape because you come out reeking! The little corner in Spice H2O was the better location and since that’s no more...I don’t sail until 12/15 so maybe I can quit by then 😁
  6. We may not agree with Ms. Pool’s course of action but there is no need to be disrespectful. To reference Sheneneh when speaking about a black woman is an insult. Perhaps you thought you were being funny but you were offensive instead.
  7. A few weeks before we were set to sail in October, My husband informed me that he would not be able to go. I simply changed the cruise from him to my mother, no extra charge involved.
  8. Reading this thread has let me know that I am not crazy 😜
  9. Interesting. We’re on the Escape departing 9/30/18 and received our luggage tags this past Saturday.
  10. Hi Carol, Loving your detailed review. My family and I are sailing this itinerary on the Horizon out of Miami, August 2019. So far, there are 10 of us booked. We’ve booked 3 cabins next to each other on deck 8 and expecting up to 9-12 more family members to book. All 3 cabins purchased FTTF and we have a cabana booked (primarily for my parents) at Margaritaville in Grand Turk. I think we may follow your lead with the tour in Curacao. As of now, we’re looking at heading to Palm Beach in Aruba (may look at an AI day pass for comfort). Your review has been very helpful and very much appreciated. Thank you! ~Angie~
  11. Thank you for the update. Glad to know this has been resolved :)
