The prices showed up around the 100 day mark and one was Sold Out before I even saw the price. All the prices seemed quite reasonable to me.

I hadn't though about dining but there is not a single Kitchen Table excursion the whole cruise which is very disappointing to me.

On your booking day, what time do they open? Someone mentioned 12 AM Pacific and someone else mentioned getting up at 3AM. I know exactly what I want and one is already sold out optional excursion is already sold out.

Is it worth checking out each one in order of importance? Another poster mentioned by the time they checked out some had already sold out.

I was thinking about getting the package despite the fact that my daughter does not drink. I like the freedom of just getting whatever I feel like when the mood strike and I enjoy trying different drinks and the lack of guilt about not finishing it if I don't like it. She doesn't drink soda either.

There is no charge for room service on Viking so some folks will tip the delivery person in cash upon delivery, considering this a service above and beyond, similar to the way you will give something at the end of your cruise to those who have been particularly helpful.

A PP asked why someone would book multiple cruises without definite plans to travel. I do this when my usual cruise line announces their itineraries. The opening price is almost always the most inexpensive, all categories are available and the deposits are not outrageous so I pick two weeks I think my DH can travel and hope for the best. He will know long before the final payment is due if we can travel and will be able to get a full refund of the deposit.

I remember reading somewhere that it is the TA that makes all the difference in the final payment options. If they know enough to ask before booking it is almost always granted while it is rarely granted after booking and/or deposit.
