Thinking of booking our first Celebrity cruise on the Eclipse in September for the Western Med 14 night cruise.

Can anyone help me out with cabin advice? I notice there is an offer on for free drinks package and onboard credit for ocean view and above.

On their site there are also X and Y category cabins which do not seem to offer the deal but are much cheaper.

Is it really worth having a balcony cabin with an unobstructed view or would an ocean view cabin be ok? The price are from £1799 for an outside and £1999 for a balcony cabin at the moment. Do you think they are likely to reduce this price at all?

My husband and I have no children and want to cruise with adults especially when it comes to dinner.

A romantic meal would be ruined with badly behaved children crying on the next table.

Are there any adult only ships?

Can anyone answer a few questions to compare this ship to Cunards Queen Elizabeth?

My husband and I are considering a Med cruise on Eclipse in September but are concerned that there may be children onboard and that would ruin the cruise for us.

Going to Norwegian Fjords for the first time in June and am wondering whether I should pre-order some Norwegian krone or will the locals accept Euros?

Also can I pay tips in euros on the QE?

So once I've entered my card details and paid will I get an email confirmation?

Just found out that our first Ball on our QE cruise in June is the Cunard Ball.

I am assuming that there is no particular theme with this one and the ladies can wearing evening gowns and men tuxedos.

The second ball is the London Ball and the third the Starlight Ball.

Can anyway comment on whether guests stick to the theme or does anything go?

What a fantastic thread with so much information.

We are cruising for the very first time in June this year with Cunard's Queen Elizabeth and stopping at Bergen, Alesund, Flam, Geiranger and Stavanger and we are so excited.

Thanks to your thread we have picked up loads of tips and have decided on tours in all the locations apart from Stavanger.

We are due in Bergen on June 16th and I wondered if bringing a pair of shorts would be optimistic? We have no idea what the weather will be like mid June.

We are considering some mountainous tours so I presume a rain jacket would be a good idea along with hiking boots?

We are booked on our first cruise on the QE in June to the Fjords (9 night).

Would be really grateful for some recommendations from experts that have already experienced the QE.

We are looking at booking a wine package but as neither of us are big drinkers we are looking into the 4 or 6 bottle package. Can anyone tell me whether if we only drink part of a bottle one evening whether they will take it back and have it ready for another evening and also whether we can have the wine delivered to our table in both the Britannia restaurant and the buffet?

Also we are considering the soft drinks package as it seems very good value.

Another big decision seems to be which excursion...if any to book. Can anyone recommend any trips and do all passengers book the Cunard excursion or venture out on their own and what are the pitfalls? We have looked into the Flam railway trip and Cunard are charging $120 per person and the Railway direct seems to be approx £34 per person.

My cruise on QE is not listed on askcunard. They only go up to mid May.

I cannot see it on the Voyage Personaliser either?

It's a 9 night cruise to the Fjords and it would be really useful to know how many formal nights there will be.

Also how soon can I book a hair appointment in the Spa?

We are taking our first cruise with Cunard on Queen Elizabeth on June 14th from Southampton to the Norwegian Fjords.

Booked cabin 5116 on Queen Elizabeth which is classed as a partially obstructed view balcony room.

Can anyone tell me of their experience with this cabin or class of cabin.

Next year will be our first cruise and we have chosen Cunard and the QE.

Could anyone help me out with a few first timer questions.

I understand that we will be charged $ per days for tips. Would it be possible to tip the crew direct rather than pay on our credit card. If this is possible I assume the crew should be tipped in dollars?

Can anyone recommend a drinks package? We are not big drinkers but prefer a glass of wine with dinner and perhaps a cocktail afterwards.

We are causing to the Norwegian Fjords. Has anyone take this cruise and can you recommend any excursions?

We are cruising for the first time next year on the Queen Elizabeth and are currently looking at the drinks packages on the Cunard website.

My husband and I like an occasional glass of wine or cocktail but we are not huge drinkers.

Can anyone explain what soft drinks are included in the cost of the cruise and what soft drinks packages and wine package anyone would recommend.

Also can anyone tell me if we book a wine or soft drinks package are these purely for the restaurants or can we drink them in the bars too.

My husband and I have just booked our first Cruise and its with Cunard on the Queen Elizabeth to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday.

We are cruising on June 14th 2016 to the Norwegian Fjords for 9 nights.

After great deliberation with have booked direct with Cunard and chosen cabin 5116 (balcony obstructed view) and we would love anyone's comments on this and any other advice or recommendations.

We are currently waiting for the Voyage personalised to come from from Cunard and see all the excursions!!
