  2. San Juan was a blast today. Even though it’s now 6pm and all aboard is 10:30pm it’s time to be back on the ship. I’m feeling my drinks just a bit from the mainland and the happy hour drinks at Punto De Vista Rooftop Restaurant having 2 for 1 Mango mojito’s. As exciting as the mojito’s were the highlight of going on land was meeting 6 month old Jasmine & Alma.

What did you think of the taste of the ribs?

To me they are excellent. But someone on the ship asked me the same thing, I said I think they are excellent but I’m not from Texas or a place know for the best BBQ so maybe I’m not the best judge. I’ll definitely be back for more. From my multiple times from my cruise in December they definitely are consistent in taste.

Portside BBQ opened at 11:30am today.

I’ve also confirmed that lunch and dinner is now one and the same menu. You can get ribs for lunch. For a very brief period they had a lunch menu but that didn’t go over well so they moved it back to lunch and dinner for the same menu.

Also Portside BBQ will be going on Allure of the seas once she goes through her Ampted up upgrades. 😀

  5. Beautiful first half of our day at sea then San Juan. We should be docking around 1:00pm.

We are rocking a tad. Rumor has it some of the shows got moved around from our last two sea days to earlier days. Not sure how true that is. Guess it’s in anticipation of some weather those two days. But again I don’t know how true that is. 😀

Really enjoying another one of your live cruise reviews.  We are going to have the UDP for the first time in the fall on The Allure.  I am interested to hear how easy or difficult it is for you to change reservations at the last minute.

Past cruises and this cruise so far I’ve not had any issues with just walking up. Just have to be somewhat flexible. Imagine if it’s a larger party it would pose a bit more difficult.

I'm loving your review(s), MrFunInTheSun. Thank you for posting so many pics, and the cruise compasses.

I've noticed the Dalí art seminars in a few of the past cruise compasses, and wondered if it's always Dalí or if those featured artists change over time? And do they change based on the ship? I'm thinking we would attend one of those seminars if the artist and time was right. I'm curious if we can expect it to be Dalí, since that's what I keep seeing, or if it might be a different artist by the time we're on the ship?

I’m not really sure, I don’t remember who was here back in December without going to look at my old compass from my December live. But I would think they would have to change around a bit.

Thanks for following along! It’s a beautiful day at sea as we make our way for San Juan.
