Wow. I have never seen anything like this before. But work is asking us to disclose any relationships we have within the company and with any vendors our company deals with. And it has to be approved. This doesn’t feel like it should be legal.

Not illegal if they address it in their workplace policies. If they don't then you would not be required to disclose any relationship.

Our company has a policy, but only require it be disclosed if there is a conflict such as someone being a direct report of the other or in the chain of command. We've got plenty of couples working in our organization, my wife and I included. 🙂 They have even assisted moving people into different departments or roles to avoid a conflict.

I love a good Star Wars night at the ballpark but I thought KC's racing condiments had to be the worst "mascot race" in the MLB. Now I am not so sure. 😉

Let's just leave the racing where it belongs, in MKE with our World Famous Sausages!!!

I jest of course. Glad you had a good time. Any night at the ballpark is a good one.

30?  I got 20, or maybe 5. And yes an increase with u verse

Yea, that is what it said originally. Today, while checking out what next month's increase will be, I see it is $30. It says if you signed up the the $20 you need to re-signup to get the $30. Of course when I do, it says you already signed up, there is no need to signup again. 🤦‍♂️I'll believe I get anything when I actually see it hit my bill.

  4. So while I patiently wait for my $30 DirecTV Stream credit for this Disney dispute, they have the audacity to send me a rate increase notice starting next month! I guess the negotiations aren't going well in their favor. Might be time to check out YTTV.

Good morning Tribe Family! Happy Friday! We are on our last sea day before arriving back in New York tomorrow. The Captain deviated from his normal course after leaving Bermuda to give us the smoothest and driest ride possible heading back. Last night was a bit bumpy, which we like, but this morning it's a lot smoother. It's a warm and sunny day so far.

We've had a great cruise, and we have met quite a few CC members, which is also great. The good news is that we still have another week to go, as we'll stay on board and head up to Canada. We'll keep in touch. Have a great weekend everyone! 😎

Enjoy the second half of your B2B, looks like you may have some fantastic Canadian weather! Looking forward, as always to your review.

  6. Well that sucks about the umbrellas. The construction around there was going on when we were there back in May 2023 - island time I guess. Does anyone know if the road under the umbrellas is always blocked? When we were there there were also police at the barrier, we weren't sure if we could go past them or not but didn't see a need.

Did you head up the hill to the pigeons from there?

Definitely see legs dangling. What are those?

They can do tenders off that when it is lowered to the sea, pretty sure those are part of the docking structure of the platform. Why they go below it, not sure, maybe visibility at the water line.

    Over 100 in Texas.😐

Feels like a beautiful fall day as well here in SE Wisconsin. Sunny, northerly breeze, hasn't cracked 70 yet and may not. Perfect. It won't last though, I see the upper 80's returning for the weekend. But I won't be here, I'll be in Houston to see some friends. Not sure how I was talked into Houston in August but at least they have a pool. 😅 The reason for our visit is we cruise out of Barcelona on a Spain and Portugal cruise that ends in Southampton, England with them and some others in a year, so let the planning begin. 🙂 Well that and we haven't seen them in almost a year when we met up on the Oaxaca coast of Mexico last fall so they decided we should come and visit and I had Southwest points to burn. It will be my first cruise on Royal. Been all Carnival for me before this. Well if I don't count the one Norwegian cruise back in 1993 out of San Juan. That one is a distant memory and so it the ex-wife I was on it with for our honeymoon. 😆

I also did the Kukoo Kunu in Aruba way back in 2018, I remember it being fun. They dropped us off at a beach for a couple hours as part of it. In Curacao we did a craft brewery (now closed I think) and distillery tour and then wandered the city on our own.

    Vent alert!!

Are you listening federal government?  You listen to everything else...

Today I received via us mail a 3/4 inch thick booklet on how to navigate Medicare.

What the AF?  I've already signed up for Medicare and studied my options and met with an insurance provider.

Today you send me a piece of bulk mail that went directly in to the recycle bin and on the cover is a QRF code to go paperless.

Insert your inner Sam Kinison here, Why didn't you present that option beforehand?

You wasters of tax money and trees!!

LOL. It's not just the government. I've been trying to get Fidelity (our 401k manager) to stop sending me all the documents via mail since they took over two years ago. No where on my account does it not say electronic delivery yet almost every month I get a prospectus/supplement/proxy/whatever envelope in the mail, First Class. Some of these are huge as well and are $3-$5 to mail. I look at it as trying to keep the Post Office working and keep their fees high.

Oh, and I get it via email as well. #facepalm

  10. Hello Tribe - The Red Rocker still rocks! What an awesome show. Highly recommended for any who can see it. Since it was Tinley Park on the outskirts of Chicago, not my favorite venue by any means, we stayed in the hotel before and after the show and had pre and post show refreshments. My pathetic $14 "tiny" tacos and $20 Modelos from the amphitheater are not picture worthy. 🤦‍♂️ My poor wife had to work the following morning at 7:30 until we left the hotel where she joined by phone for the nearly 2 hour ride back to Milwaukee and put in several more hours. Felt bad for her as we had these tickets long before the project she is working on but she powered through it. Enjoy your week.

Just not for you I take it? Because that looks pretty darn good! So does the sea plate. It's only 7AM here and I could put either of those down for breakfast. 😆

Exciting weekend coming up, headed down to Indianapolis to see Blink 182 on Friday night and then doing St Elmo steakhouse on Saturday! There's a lot of hype behind that shrimp cocktail an I'm excited to partake.  Sister in law arrived yesterday so its officially a kid free weekend!  Maybe this is how I work my way up to taking cruises without them like @MeganGC1983!

Blink 182 will be a great show. Saw them a while ago in Montreal, it was like time travel back to the high school days..

I am also heading back to my slightly earlier high-school days this weekend with a trip down to Chicago to see Sammy Hagar on his Best of All Worlds Tour. Well, technically David Lee left Van Halen just after I graduated HS and the first album with Sammy came out my first year of college so any VH fans (or people who can Google) can determine when I was in HS. But I definetely listened to a LOT of VH! I've heard a lot of good things about this show and Sammy's tribute to Eddie so looking forward to it.

I took two years of it in high school. Back then I actually thought it would be more useful than Spanish. At the time I didn't know anyone who spoke Spanish. It's crazy how much has changed. I bet nobody takes French anymore.

I had four years of French in high school. I don't think I really thought much about which language would be more useful. I am pretty sure it had to do more with 1. more girls took French and 2. the French teacher was hotter than than the Spanish teacher. Typical high school boy's thought process. 🤦‍♂️

The high school where I live now announced this summer that due to declining enrollments and the fact that the current and only french teacher resigned, the school board decided they will no longer even be offering it as an option starting this next school year. Has the few students who were learning it and their parents upset of course.

Pulled out one of my bowling balls to use tonight in another tournament (I must be insane to try again), and found that it cracked around the entire ball.  Yes, it’s somewhat normal for this to happen (must be a ruse by the manufacturer to make us buy new bowling balls).  For those in the know, this one had a pomegranate scent.

Had the exact same thing once with one of mine. It was grape scented. 🙂
