Yes. I ordered the free version,  and was trying to see the cost to ship pre-cruise. Instead, I got a message that it was too close to sail date and I have to pick up in the blue lane. Our cruise is in 100 days 🤣!

Same here.  I'm just trying to place an order for the free medallions and lanyards but when I enter an address I get the above notice and I have tried for days and days.  This app is simply a mess!

  2. That seems strange indeed. For the past few years Princess has been very lenient about lead time to submit SOBC request.  We have our upcoming cruises for Jan and Apr and both have OBC applied already.  For the last several cruises we have submitted our documentation as soon as the cruise is booked and it has worked fine.  I would maybe resubmit the request and maybe a different person would process it this time.

  3. We have never been challenged about our prescription meds.  I carry a monthly pill planner with all my medications, however, I do take pics of each individual pill bottle on my cellphone in case someone wants to see it. I even store a copy of the pics on google drive, just in case.

  5. I think I may have found my answer on a Princess FAQ about gift cards.  Thanks for the responses.

Q:  If I have used my Princess Cruises Gift Card to pay for my cruise and I cancel my cruise and am entitled to a refund, how can I receive my refund?
A:  If you have your original Princess Cruises Gift Card, a credit will be added back to your original card so please keep your card even after you use the entire value of the card.  If you do not have the original card, contact Princess Cruises Gift Card Customer service at 1-833-907-3079 and a new Princess Cruises Gift Card will be sent to you.

we will be on that cruise, too....and have spent 121 days since the post-covid restart on her. Happy to be going back on board, and this time we will be there for 40 days.

We also will be on the Enchanted 2 cruises in late Jan 2024.  We spent 20 days on her in 2022 and I agree, with other posters.  She is also our current FAVORITE.

  7. We booked two cruises for November 2024 and I sent the SHB forms in the same day via email.  Benefit showed up the next business day.  Like others have mentioned, I simply keep all the filled out forms in "my documents" folder with the booking number in the doc title.  When we scheduled a new cruise I just edit one of the old documents by changing the sail date and and the booking # and resubmit the forms.  It is a good way for me to be sure that I did in fact submit the form.

  8. Although it varies a bit, the times are when the ship arrives and departs the port. You can count on at least 30 minutes on arrival before the ship is cleared to go ashore and the ship will set a "be back on board time", as well.

I'm interested in hearing what Princess does for Christmas in terms of decorations and special events/parties to celebrate the holiday.  We sailed on Royal Caribbean once over Christmas and they made it incredibly festive.  We are doing Christmas and New Year on Majestic to New Zealand this year and I'm hoping it will be the same as RC (or better!).

  10. Since when has Princess been charging for making a room selection?  I was just looking at the 2024-25 Caribbean cruises and found for me to reserve a mini suite costs $350 per person for a 20 day cruise.  I also looked at 7 day cruises and the charge was $182 per person.  To reserve a balcony cabin cost $88 per person for 7 day.  There is no charge if I let Princess select the cabin.  We like to decide where we want to be on the ship but now we have to pay for that luxury if one could call it that.

This all caught us by surprise.

They seem to keep finding ways to add to the total cost.

    1. Select your room type $$$

    2. Do you want "Reserve collection" in that category $$$

    3. Add Plus or Premium Package $$$

    4. Pick your cabin location $$$

I saw this article yesterday, so it's possible that a new coffee option is on the way which might be priced/sized depending on the length of the cruise

Princess Cruises Adds New Package Option for Passengers

I am missing something.  How is this "New" package mentioned in the article different from the package by the same name that Princess has had since pre-covid days.  They appear to be the same thing.

The items that show the word NEW next to them are not included unless you “upgrade”   Otherwise all is the same. Gratuities WiFi and drinks up to $15 will still be included under Plus package

I don't know.  My PVP told me yesterday that I had to upgrade to new Princess Plus for our next cruise for $179.28 in order to get any of the perks.  I asked specifically about the $15 drinks and he told me, "Yes sir! You will have to upgrade in order to get the increased allotment."

Exactly, I don't understand why people don't realize this.

Then I really don't understand this FAQ item from the Princess web page.  It's hard to glean just what the new perks are.  Maybe it's only desserts, fitness and juice bar they are referring to and not the $12 vs $15 drinks.

    1. Will I receive the new perks if I purchased Princess Plus or Premier at the old rate of $50/$75 per day?
You can absolutely upgrade to the new perks at the new price! If you do not wish to upgrade, you can enjoy the package with the original perks as you initially purchased them.

A passport card is a driver's license sized ID card that looks a lot like the info page with your photograph from your passport. It is available as an option when you renew your passport. I don't know if you can get one outside of renewal.

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/card.html

One thing to remember about using a passport card is that it cannot be used for boarding international flights, only domestic.  It's good be aware of that just incase you have an emergency and miss the ship in a foreign country.

    ·         Salty Dog Gastro Pub and Bistro Sur la Mer are both the biggest wastes of space since Curtis Stone’s Share.  In 15 days, I can state I never saw more than 4 people in an evening eat at each one.  BIG mistake on Princess’ part.  To shift off Vines was not a smart move and the Bistro takes up a lot of prime space on deck 7 that could be much better used, even for revenue building.  Come up with a restaurant concept that includes paid (reasonable) lunch on sea days.  No one had a problem paying for sushi as it was packed every day for lunch, people eating there throughout the day and into the evening.

Cannot wait wait to cruise again!

I have to agree with you about Salty Dog Gastro Pub and Bistro Sur la Mer.  During our 20 days on the Enchanted in December those venues were very lightly used.  We actually got a call from the manager at Bistro Sur la Mer offering us a comped dinner.  As it turns out we were 1 of only 3 couples in the room at 7:30. I thought at the time the comped meal was in reparation for a problem we had with our cabin security but when we were there I kind think they might have just been trying to get some butts in the seats..

  16. Our last trip on the CB last year we dined at Steamers twice.  Once we were the only couple and the other time there was only one other table in use.  The food was pretty good but not equal to the other specialty restaurants.  We didn't think it would last for very long.

  17. Tech support simply is giving me lip service that they are working on it and I should try logging in again every few days.  That is utter nonsense!  Today after waiting 35 minutes on hold I was transferred to a group to help me with Ocean Ready or Dining reservations, obviously not tech support.  She obviously was no help so then sent me back to a another queue where I had to explain it all again.  This time I was told they were working on the problem.

The tech guy then told me they had run a software update last night to fix the issue.  He thought they had helped some people because they had received fewer complaints today.  "What a way to gauge you customer service"
