  1. We received one once was a nice surprise…we had a power issue in the stateroom and just called requesting maintenance to come up and restore power. We had no working outlets for around an hour prior to dinner one evening. They came up and fixed the issue pretty quickly. The next day we received a letter in the cabin stating we would receive a certificate for 10% of the cruise fare of that cruise for an new cruise booking. We received the certificate in the mail about 6 weeks after we got home, it did have to be used within a year. We booked the next cruise and just received a credit of the promised amount for both occupants of the cabin. Super easy no problems they just took the money off the total. We had to provide the certificate number. i was very pleased considering I had not even complained. The power outage was aggravating but no big deal! Enjoy your cruise!!!

  3. We were in 11325 right next door in May and loved it. I actually preferred it over an ocean balcony. We had a pretty clear view of the water looking out the back of the ship, could see the activities at the aqua theater pretty well and enjoyed people watching on the boardwalk. There is some noise from the shows and movies but it did not bother us. My daughter (7) loved watching people zip line and climb the rock wall. We actually booked in the same general area for an upcoming cruise on the Oasis. We liked watching the people and all the activity on the boardwalk, if that interests you I would recommend this cabin! if you prefer serene ocean views I would stick with a traditional balcony :)

  4. We did a very last minute last minute trip on the Oasis last summer over the 4th. We had seen the ship in port on two prior cruises and my daughter had been dying to cruise on the "big ship". Loved it so much we came home and immediately booked the Allure for this past May. I felt like the ships were almost identical not only in design but decor and theming also. We liked the ice show better on Allure, dive show better on Oasis. My 7 year old enjoyed Cats, we did not take her to Mama Mia due to mature themes so Oasis would win that one for my family. We booked the Oasis again for next May while on the Allure this summer. I do not think there is enough difference in either to matter. If you liked Oasis you will like Allure and vice versa. If I were in your shoes would choose Allure just because I had already done Oasis, having done both now I will do either in the future, whichever has best deal, best cabin choice etc. Looking forward to cruising on Harmony when the price comes down a little :) We choose the Oasis for next summer only because it leaves from port Canaveral and we are doing a week at Disney after the cruise. Prefer the shorter drive from Port Can vs FLL to Disney. Enjoy your cruise whichever you choose!

  5. Did you actually do this excursion? I am in same situation, my 7 year old is wanting to do the full experience. Was your child able to participate? Were spectators able to see and take pictures? Thanks!

  6. If you choose to rent a car there is a car rental location at Shades of Green in the hall in-between the front desk and gift shop. Maybe Avis? Was just there last week but can't remember which company it was. We did not use the rental just noticed the manned station :) Enjoy your cruise! We are taking our first Disney cruise in October! Trying to figure everything out as well!

  7. Has anyone had experience booking dolphin encounter on your own not from ship excursion? The only open time while we are there is 2:00 as the cruise line has all the earlier times blocked. I am trying to determine if we would have time to participate and still make it back to ship on time? The encounter runs till 3:30. We will be on rccl jewel scheduled to leave at 5:00. Thanks!
