Just out of interest where in the ships hierarchy does the conceige sit ?

The reserved seating on Indy for the ice show is quite small and it gets full very quickly. I would advise getting there earlier than you planned. On our last Indy trip a few years ago staff came round checking cards and a few embarrassed passengers had to vacate their seats. There's signs clearly saying that, so why do it ?

We go to Slimming World in the UK. I don't think i could attend a meeting on board, it would make me feel even more conscious of food choices than i already am. We travel in May and have already discussed healthy options for our meals !

I had read Grease was coming in July.
-
We are interested on that question as well. But we sail in 10 weeks time and from previous answers there is nothing planned. We was hoping for Voom internet before she came to Europe in May, but this seems unlikely now.

It seems the roll out of voom is a closely guarded secret. There must be commercial reasons for this. Otherwise the CEO would be singing the roll out from the roof tops ?

We are booked to go on Indy this coming May, we had been considering going on some RCI excursions and was checking some prices out on one trip and from one day to the next the price went up overnight $12 and there is 6 in our party so that would have been a $72 price increase. We have now gone to a private company.

Never turn the cork. You hold the cork and turn the bottle.
Yep that's the correct way, also you should hold a cloth or towel over the cork and bottle to prevent splashes :)

Very true with dining options on cruise ships now with the up-sell of speciality restaurants on all the ships, you are going to find table mates allocated to your MDR on day 1 will change over your holiday.

We sailed on Indy 3 years ago from Southampton and are sailing again on Indy in May this year, Southampton seems well organised than others ?
Shows on cruise ships have to last for up to 6/7 years because of the high production costs. Grease is coming to Indy in June ish. Also, Joff Eaton one of the best cruise directors around is coming back to Indy in June. We have been on P&O before and we prefer RCI ships because of all the extra facilities they have compared to P&O.
You will love Indy :)

From memory muster drill is 3.45pm, I thought last boarding time was around 3pm, with the ship sailing at 4.30pm ?
-
We was hoping that the internet upgrade for Indy would have been completed for May, but nothing has been reported as a start date yet ?
-
I was thinking about this topic for our cruise in May, we are sailing from the UK, but I am taking a lot more medication than my last cruise, including prescription strong pain meds. Just wondered if the ship's security would question this within the walk on bags ?

We get our luggage tags sent to us for being in a suite, but in any event our travel agent has also offered to print the tags off for us as well.

Depends where the call centre is in terms of the response you get.
Remember they all follow a script and want to up-sell everything !!!
-
We had a similar issue with RCI, a couple in our party booked an inside cabin with $200 OBC, they wanted to upgrade to a balcony cabin, this was about a month before the final payment was due and RCI said yes they would do the upgrade, which would have cost around $2000, extra but they would lose the $200 OBC.
I know its because of the current offers at the time, but it seems petty and does not make sense.
But what do we know ?

Breakfast in Chops is such a nice perk, not having to look for a table in the buffet !!!

I read on cruise critic last year about an elderly couple whose solution to chair hogs was to gather and remove all the books, newspapers, magazines, etc left on chairs round the pool and take them to the pool attendant and say, "some folks must have left these items behind can you take this stuff to lost property please" .
I thought that was so funny, I could just imagine the picture of this lady with armfuls of stuff.

It never ceases to amaze me when we have been on cruises how many other adults will complain about children !!! Grrr . Simple answer to that is book an adult only cruise.
Us we love children around, reminds us of when ours was a similar age :)
-
I also find the cabin grades confusing !!! :)
-
There are some on line sites which show more cabins. But we are not allowed to mention them on here.

I would like to know this site. Any clues?

RCI as a company keep cabins for different countries. I know this for a fact. The cruise that i am going on in May from the UK, it shows on the UK website that all suites were sold out and only Jnr suites were available. However, a couple we have started chatting to on Facebook have booked a OS on the same sailing. The other thing which is strange, from the States you can view the UK website, but we cannot view the USA site, believe me i have tried. Even using a proxy server from the UK.

Has anybody heard whether and when the high speed internet will be installed on Indy ? We sail on her in May and it would be good to have that when we travel.

I believe you are right, the system will recognise the number of devices that are logged on to their Wi-Fi. So you can switch betwen smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc as long there is only 2 logged on at any one time.
