  1. The reserved seating on Indy for the ice show is quite small and it gets full very quickly. I would advise getting there earlier than you planned. On our last Indy trip a few years ago staff came round checking cards and a few embarrassed passengers had to vacate their seats. There's signs clearly saying that, so why do it ?

  2. We sailed on Indy 3 years ago from Southampton and are sailing again on Indy in May this year, Southampton seems well organised than others ?

Shows on cruise ships have to last for up to 6/7 years because of the high production costs. Grease is coming to Indy in June ish. Also, Joff Eaton one of the best cruise directors around is coming back to Indy in June. We have been on P&O before and we prefer RCI ships because of all the extra facilities they have compared to P&O.

    You will love Indy :)

  3. We had a similar issue with RCI, a couple in our party booked an inside cabin with $200 OBC, they wanted to upgrade to a balcony cabin, this was about a month before the final payment was due and RCI said yes they would do the upgrade, which would have cost around $2000, extra but they would lose the $200 OBC.

I know its because of the current offers at the time, but it seems petty and does not make sense.

But what do we know ?

  4. I read on cruise critic last year about an elderly couple whose solution to chair hogs was to gather and remove all the books, newspapers, magazines, etc left on chairs round the pool and take them to the pool attendant and say, "some folks must have left these items behind can you take this stuff to lost property please" .

I thought that was so funny, I could just imagine the picture of this lady with armfuls of stuff.

  5. RCI as a company keep cabins for different countries. I know this for a fact. The cruise that i am going on in May from the UK, it shows on the UK website that all suites were sold out and only Jnr suites were available. However, a couple we have started chatting to on Facebook have booked a OS on the same sailing. The other thing which is strange, from the States you can view the UK website, but we cannot view the USA site, believe me i have tried. Even using a proxy server from the UK.
