Have a wonderful cruise. We did the Haven-light between two Haven cruises and only missed the Haven restaurant. However, now that we are platinum, we do not see us going back to the Haven anytime soon. For our next four cruises, we booked a club balcony suite and we are not even trying for a Haven upgrade for our upcoming February Encore cruise. Again, have a wonderful time and enjoy the Vibe!

But I definitely would check every day in case of a cancellation.

You are very welcome. They did eliminate that public sun deck space on the Getaway and expanded the Vibe area. While I love the Vibe, I am against taking away free good deck space

You are very welcome. I just looked at some pictures on cruisedeckplans and the door for the elevator bank is also on the Encore.

Just want to make sure everyone understands the door to enter the one elevator bank is not actually in the Vibe, but on the wraparound path in that area. I believe my son discovered it when we were in the Vibe the second time which was on the Getaway. The next year we were on the Escape again and it was there too as well as on the Joy. We will definitely look for it on the Encore in February!

I do admit it is hard to find, but it is there as I always use it going down as I hate going down the stairs from deck 19 to 18. The red dot in the top picture is the door to enter where the elevator is located.

We, 12 in total, are on the same sailing and will happily show you where the elevator is located! It is a bit hidden.

The one elevator that goes up to the Vibe is the same on the Escape as it is on the Joy. 100% positive.

On the Escape, there is one forward elevator that will take you up to the Vibe deck.

The last time we were in the Joy Vibe was August 2022 and the bartenders were wonderful. Probably the best we encountered. While we prefer the smaller Vibes, we did take advantage of having both sides of the ship and moved around a lot depending on where the sun was. If you enjoy the Vibe experience, you will enjoy the Joy Vibe experience. There is also a bigger Vibe crew on the Joy to make up for the size difference.

I could be wrong, but I only remember seeing plenty of couches and chairs on the waterfront and I do not really consider the waterfront a sundeck. But, we do enjoy strolling on the waterfront both early mornings and late at night. I hope they still have the coffee and pastry set up early in the mornings when we cruise again this February!

Yes, I was very happy this morning when I checked. Secured passes for both 2025 cruises we have booked, and one includes Alaska!

Please tell me where I can find comfortable, padded loungers with excellent bar service and beautiful views at say 10:00 a.m. in the morning for four?

My opinion........the Vibe surpasses the Haven sundeck.

Your opinion. I believe other things are a waste of money; however, Vibe, for my family and I, it is worth every penny. And we happily pay the price increase every year. Everyone decides on how to spend their vacation money, and we choose to spend a portion of it on the Vibe.

Just a heads up to my fellow Vibe lovers, the passes are now available for 2025!

The Getaway would be double the passes sold as it is now on both sides. If I remember correctly, the Escape sold 80 passes both times we were on the Escape. If it were our choice, we would pick the Escape over the Getaway as we do prefer the smaller size Vibe. On our two cruises on the Escape, the Vibe never felt crowded. However, a benefit to the larger Vibe is that you can switch to the other side if the side you are on is either to sunny, to hot or to windy. We did do that a few times on the Joy. Again, we have never had a bad Vibe experience and it is a must for us. Happy planning and let us know what you decide. Just remember to secure the passes immediately upon booking your cruise.

I am so happy that you came back and reported your experience! We have been on both the Getaway and Escape (twice) and both Vibes were wonderful. The Getaway is double the size as it is now on both port and starboard. When we cruised on the Getaway the Vibe was only on starboard. This would not stop us as the Joy's Vibe is on both sides and we also had a wonderful experience. To sum it up, all are wonderful as all of the bar tenders are top notch.

I will certainly report back in February. Years back, they used to come with $100 OBC but that was stopped.
