1. In my experience aboard numerous HAL ships, drunkeness is not a problem. I'm not saying that there isn't the occasional person who imbibes too much, but it's simply not an issue.

Besides, a 55 cent per drink increase is never going to inhibit someone from having a drink or two too many.

    (Bolding added by me.)

My experience is apparently different than yours - and I prefer not to have to deal with drunks, so I would love to see HAL increase its alcoholic drink prices on the off chance that it might incentivize the heavy drinkers to choose other cruise lines.

BTW can you provide proof of your highlighted claim above?

  2. You went back and edited your post to include "IMHO." When I responded to you, it was before your edit when all you said was "but only one significant factual difference between them." That statement was wrong. Thanks for going back and making it clear it was your opinion, not actually a factual statement.

... sorry. but "IMHO" was in my post from the very start and was not edited in as you suggest ...

  3. With all due regard for your status as a regular CC poster, I was not wrong to state that there is 'IHMO there is only one significant factual difference between them'" because (as my post clearly indicated) that is my opinion. Your opinion is obviously different but no more or less accurate than my opinion!!!

...sloppy editing on my part - it should've read "I was not wrong to state that 'IHMO there is only one significant factual difference between them'" because (as my post clearly indicated) that is my opinion. Your opinion is obviously different but no more or less correct than my opinion!!!

  4. And in this case, I think you're even more wrong than when you said this in the HAL vs Celebrity and HAL vs Princess threads. There is certainly not only 1 factual difference between these cruise lines.

  5. It might be more accurate for you to state that there is "only one significant theological difference between them..." To those of us who have sailed on both lines, there are many factual differences.

  6.
Hi
We have sailed with Princess, celebrity and Royal Caribbean ... Any opinions as to how HAL compares to the other cruise lines mentioned above would be greatly appreciated ... We would be interested in such things as ... service, cabin size, entertainment, fellow passengers, etc.

We are two Seniors who really enjoy cruising.

There are many differing opinions & preconceptions about Princess, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and HAL but IMHO only one significant factual difference between them - only HAL has a Roman Catholic priest (who celebrates daily Mass) on board every one of its cruises. So if spiritual renewal is an important component of your vacation experience, HAL is the hands-down choice. Whichever you choose, I hope you enjoy the cruise!
