As far as I can see the stateroom is a normal cove balcony and not an aft or aft stateroom. I belive this a glitch on the website- where did you see this?
It's on the Carnival site>balcony>aft view extended balcony.
Sure wish we had booked earlier so we could have snagged a true aft. Just love them!

We LOVE a cove but can't find info about this either... The room I'm looking at (2301) appears to be below the Vista Lobby and Bar... Can't tell if that's good or bad!

I wish I knew what was above these rooms. Since it's a new ship, we can't find reviews. Enjoy your trip!!
2356 is below the restaurant. Not sure if u may hear vacuuming and movement of tables late at night or early in the morning. However, if u leave ur balcony door open, the sound of the water shd resolve any noise! This is a cove balcony under a lifeboat. make sure u r not claustrophobic as I believe it is very cozy. U also will not get much sun. Google u-tube for videos of a cove so u can get the feel of it as it is a very different type of balcony. U love it or u hate it!I think we'll love it. The closer to the water, the better!

I predict a lot of long days to finish the ship in the next 3 weeks or so. Seems as if there's a lot of work to be done.

Any thoughts on 2356? I tried to compare deck 2 to deck 3 to see if this cabin was in a problem area. Cannot figure it out!
Also, why are the Aft-View Extended Balcony stateroom in the middle of the ship? Here's the description on the site:
Aft-View Extended Balcony staterooms feature a larger balcony for more lounge-around room, more kick-back space... not to even mention some of the best stern-side views you'll find anywhere. Get ready to relax as you gaze upon Carnival Vista's gentle wake from your spacious balcony.
The category name aft VIEW may be the key; however, it is a bit misleading.

Be careful Norwegian is notorious for coming in late. My son flew them into January. 2 hours late.
I booked through Lufthansa. They're German, right?

Have a look at Hotel Jazz at the top end of las Ramblas. We stayed there 2 years ago and are staying there this year. It is really handy, has a great breakfast and also a lovely good sized pool and terrace. You can check it out on trip advisor as well for good reviews [emoji1]
We booked there for one night, pre-cruise. Great reviews!

I got two one way tickets from DCA to BCN for $11.20 total with points on AA. It will cost me more to fly home from NY after the TA. I knew there was a reason I was hoarding those points. [emoji41]
I AM JEALOUS! Have a fabulous trip.
Rarely do air fare come down as they tend to work on a tiered price structure. so many at one price and so many at a higher price and so on.Once the cheap ones are gone they only ever go up.
Once you see a fare that sound reasonable go for it as chances are you won't see them at that price again.
I used to work in a travel agency and have seen it first hand.
Makes sense. Glad I went ahead and booked. I'm really happy with the nonstop flight over. A little concerned about the 55 min layover and plane change in Munich, but we will manage.

The cruise will be part of a bigger trip for us. Eight days in Ireland, 5 in Paris, 2 in Athens then the cruise. We used Kayak "hacker fares". Basically they find great 1 way deals. We were able to fly Myrtle Beach to Dublin, Dublin to Paris, Paris to Athens & Barcelona to Myrtle Beach for $1517 per person. It's a bit complicated. You have to make 3 reservations, but to compare Delta was $3200+ per person at their website for the same itinerary.
What a deal and I'm jealous of your other plans! Enjoy!
I also booked through kayak. DC to Barcelona and Athens back to DC, non stop on the way out: $1078. I'm very pleased. The rates may go down, but I knew I would feel comfortable at less than $1100 pp, so I booked.

Thru a third party justfly.com
Thank you! I will check it out. I seem to spend a good part of my day off checking airfare. We sail in October.

Just got one way to Barcelona for Oct nonstop for $564 person. Yay
