thank you....that will be much cheaper and easier than the $25 per person for ships transportation.
Thank you so much.

that's too bad.....well maybe something will come up. Wish we had time to stop at 7 mile beach.
-
Is it cheaper to just do the carnival transportation or a cab from Port Everglades back to the airport? There will be 4 of us.....so not sure.
Are cabs easily avail at port?
-
yes the turtle farm is included....done it before with the stingray excursion, so might only stay a short time. So if we ask the carnival bus will let us stop at 7 mile beach???? If not and we get back to town, then is there a beach close enough to walk to for a couple hours?
-
That's like I tried to book my 2 granddaughters there and was told had to do it thru Carnival....then with Carnival I had to buy 4 tickets at $159 each....because they HAVE to have a full paying guest go with.....excuse me I do not want to swim with the dolphins but can't let the girls go by themselves....don't you offere a park entrance ticket I see at half the price.....they said can't use that....got to book the full excursion.
So I gave up and book in the Caymans and they said on the ship we can get transportation for parents at about $30 each to go with.....
They make it a pain in Jamaica to book it.

We have an excursion to do the Dolphin swim at the Cove, but will be back by around noon....would like to take the kids to the beach for a bit....what is close....we have to be back on ship by 3:30....sail at 4:00

has anyone been to this beach? We are taking my granddaughters and would like to know how the beach is there.....I know they will like the other things there but would be happy if it had a nice beach also.

the dolphin swim in Cozumel is very nice, a few of us did that there about 5 yrs ago. very nice park.
-
our problem is as a family of 4 only the kids ages 14 and 15 will be swimming with the dolphins....and on Carnival we have been told that if we do the excursion in the caymans we can go and observe for like $30 each....but if we do the Ocho rios one there is no observer offered and all 4 of us will have to pay the full excursion price regardless that only 2 are doing it. We will NOT let the children go on an excursion in Ocho Rios by themselves....NO wAY

bumping to see if anyone has info

We will be taking the kids soon and wondered if anyone can give us an idea which program would be better.....so that we can plan something in each port to do.
Dolphin Cove looks very nice in Ocho Rios...but have heard that you are better to do it in Grand Caymans.....hope someone can give me some insite.
thank you

We had L-shaped on the Dream last November with twin beds....it works fine. Only disappointment was no sofa. We also had regular balcony cabin next door and they opened ( even website said NO to does not connect ) the door between the 2 cabins and we had about a 25' balcony ...had like 3 chairs and a lounger or 2 and table....LOADS of room.....LOVED IT.... only other problem was bathroom door kept hitting the bed but it was ok with us...laughed about it and enjoyed the balcony !!!!!!!!!!

We are sailing the Dream in about 6 weeks......I was hoping that they would be sister ships and be very similar......but it sounds like the Magic is much more than the Dream......have you sailed the Dream and can you compare for me?Hoping for same pool area and serenity area....and especially 2 outlets in the room!!!!!!!!!

that's good to know....snacking on a sandwich or appetizers when having a few drinks if GOOD news for me. Sounds like a nice place to spend some time....Blue Iguana I mean.

Large balcony on the Dream
in Carnival Cruise Lines

We had that cabin on the Dream deck 8 and loved it....friends had the next cabin and although it clearly states in something we read that the balconies can NOT be opened up between them.....our room steward did for us and it was like a 30' balcony when we got done....it was awesome. They used the lounger to keep the panel open and it worked fine.
Room was a little crazy lay out....we had twin beds set up and the bathroom door would not open all the way.....but the balcony was well worth the squeeze :)
