The Vines food offering...

I have the Plus package and used one of the meals for lunch yesterday at the pizza joint. The other lunch choice is sushi, but eating fish bait is usually not my first choice. That leaves another pizza or dinner at Vines. I chose Vines

But back to lunches - the menus for the other seaday lunches are not overly exciting with mostly the same with a few differences. YMMV. On this ship there isn't a separate Pub Lunch - I was told it is part of Lido lunch one day. The MDR did have fish and chips on one lunch menu.

Oooo. Tonight is escargot and surf and turf night. I'll have to make that.

I really don't want the thread hijacked on this nonsense. It has to do with taxes. A cruise line could pay them and pass them on to the customer or could try to lower costs. A cruise line isn't going to just absorb them.

Back to the near beginning... Concerto Dining Room is the only dining room open for Breakfast, Lunch (Embarkation and Sea Days) and Dinner. Symphony is the other dining room. The Embarkation Lunch is the best choice.

I liked Crowne Plaza. I would also pick Doubletree.

I posted it a couple of weeks ago, but will look for. It will be the only time bananas foster is offered as a dessert.

Cruise lines don't make Texas laws. If it is a problem for some, I suggest they fill their tank before boarding. You can pre-order bottled water for your cabin at prices cheaper than Carnival. I believe they did give me a $25 credit which more than covered my consumption. If you are Elite the minibar should be stocked.

Pro tip: The interent on the ship seems stable, but I find the speed disappointing for being the latest and greatest. The Medallion app works fine on iPhone and can be garbage on Android. It's because of the latest release earlier this month. Consider not updating the app if it is working. Last I asked, they still don't have a fix, but there are workarounds for many Android phones like Samsung and Google. I now have it working on all 3.

Monday. Next is Tonight I believe. But it varies depending on when seadays are. Tomorrow is a seaday, but they don't like to have the last night of the cruise.
