  1. Some pictures from earlier today... The Carnival Dream next door
  2. A couple of weeks ago on Discovery, they wouldn't let me order one of the specialty pies on the Plus package without paying $12. Last week on Regal they said no problem. I waited for the final bill to make sure that was accurate. So far, so good. Which is correct? I dunno
  3. A double grey goose on the rocks is perfect every time
  4. They will provide once we are out of Texas waters. Then unlimited bottled water. They will sell bottled water now, and limited alcohol, but the packages won't work for bar service. I think they still give $25 OBC to offset the cost to passengers until they can use the packages.
  5. As with the last cruise, purchased the Plus package once on the ship. You can get coffees once on the ship but still no bottled water. Tap water is free for everyone. I planned for this and stashed sufficient water in my cabin last cruise.
  6. And back on the ship. General boarding is about to begin. A little rainy so I picked up a couple of beach towels from a pool to cover my balcony chairs.
  7. Oops, I'm doing it again. Waiting for them to process in transit passengers.
  8. Well, as this cruise is basically done, I'll just post a few highlights later. Others, including me 😀, will post current menus, food, etc al, from the Nov 12th cruise
  9. Have stayed at the Holiday Inn and Leonardo. Leonardo is my choice (but then I booked a suite there!)
  10. The production shows were quite good, even if not what I might typically attend. The contract is up for the 15 person staff, so will have new members next cruise. I'm not sure if the shows are also changing.
  11. I found the entertainment on the ship to be entertaining!
  12. Ha... I'm calling this the lunch menu for the first sea day
  13. I tried lunch in the MDR again. I must have skipped dessert, or at least a picture of it. And a readable picture of the menu (menus are available through the app)
  14. The first full sea day was the first Formal Night. There is a lot of interactive game playing between officers and passengers. The CD
  15. You might see some other menus to avoid here. Food is so subjective.
  16. I was drinking pinot grigio with all of it, but I know I'm no wine connoisseur. Vines has a full bar, so you could also have a martini or whatever. They probably have a nice port. Actually speaking of red wine - I think they only had a limited selection, but this is the first cruise from Galveston, and the ship may not have been fully supplied. .
