I can get in with Safari, that 8 day cruise is pricey
I planned to do that one after the Symphony TA but had not expected it to be quite that much $. I hink they know a LOT of us going on the TA will plan to do it as well.
-
Anyone know if the cruisetours are available to book as well? Flyer only had the cruises.
The agent I just spoke to asked if I was interested in a cruisetour. I was not so did not but her asking the question implies they are.

I just got off the phone with a guy who insisted that an inside for July 27, 2018 on Explorer in Alaska was $ 4277.70 and that a balcony was $4278.70 and when I pointed out that had to be incorrect he argued with me...sigh. I asked about the pacific coastal and was told the Explorer was not doing it in 2018.

My wish for her is NOLA for selfish reasons.
I would love to see this too. It's such a fun port to sail out of.

Hiyaaaa!
I posted on another site my experience today. I did get the reduction but had to fight for it. Your TA needs to talk to Resolutions.
My TA had to go thru resolutions to get the taxes fixed too.

I was told 2800 for 2 for a balcony for the TA - :( I got Central Park though :D
I got a outside not inside.

Got on Freedom of the Seas today and having dinner at chops and they did away with their onion soup. My favorite
Wow, that is a surprise. Anything else missing from the menu?

Well, it was my son who is Gold, not Diamond Plus and it was an interior (promenade) room and we were told we wouldn't get double points because the room was discounted. This was several years ago.
However, I will email C&A and see what they say, if they'll apply the extra points after 5 years. If so, it'll bump him up to platinum.
Was this prior to October 2013 by chance? That is when they changed solo cruisers from 1 point to 2.

In my dreams!
I will likely be seeing you there if they do another canal cruise.

That's what I thought. The Caribbean, Bermuda, and Bahamas sailings on the 6th, and the Canada/New England sailings on the 27th.
Of course we are using logic to predict RCI and you know how well that works.
-
Would sailings out of Bayonne be March 6th or March 27th?
I would think both. The Anthem is year round and the Vision is seasonal.
-
Well, at least is a reason I could believe - but you would think that RCI would be building their new ships to support that capability?
I would love to say yeah, that makes sense but I would guess that it's very expensive to do and I very much doubt anyplace other than CA would ever require it of a ship. I could more see them retrofitting something like a Vision class if they ever do come back to California.
-
But aren't there plenty of potential new cruisers on west coast? It just seems odd. There must be an underlying reason

No idea if it is correct or not but I have a friend who works for Carnival who says the reason RCI left California is that ships must now use electricity instead of fuel while docked in port if it is their home port and it is very expensive to retrofit the ships to be able to do this.
-
I just notice that Balcony is now $100 cheaper than Inside. Book directly online with RCI. Paid in full already. What do I do now to get Balcony.
Call them up and tell them you want to upgrade.

I am travelling with a friend who prefers taxi's to buses and am wondering if we would be able to get a taxi to take us to Gibralfaro Castle or is the HO Ho or 35 bus our only real choice?

My husband and I will be sailing on the Serenade of the Seas Feb. 24, 2017. From past experience on other RCCL ships I could not get diet ginger ale onboard. I am a diabetic and need to know if I can bring my own in my luggage or carry-on? Thank you to anyone that can help me.
I have never had a problem bringing soda onboard. I usually buy a 12 pack when I am doing it and carry it on with me.
-
If you already ordered the drink package and paid for it how do you check to see if the price goes down on tour sailing?
I don;t think I have ever seen it cheaper ON the sailing than it was to buy it before but all you would do is check out one of the bar tables set out to purchase the package on day 1 and do the math.

We are just off Anthem. The entertainer/piano player we had in Schooner most nights was A Girl Called Jake. She was awesome! Great voice, really enjoyed her sets. Hopefully she'll be there and you can check her out! She attracted a large crowd.
I second your thoughts on Jake. She was very talented and her nightly sets were a blast. I closed down that bar too many nights on my last cruise.

If you want to do Hawaii on RCI you should plan the one from Hawaii to Vancouver. I think there is very little chance of their bringing a ship back into California anytime soon.
