No its in the supper club, offers a meal with show. Also they offer a free show at times on the escape.

So the Supper Club is already listed, is this something different held at the same venue?

Sorry if this has been asked before, sometimes the search function doesn't work very well.
Anyway, I was looking at the terms and conditions of the new "Freedom at Sea" promo, I know, slow morning,[emoji6] and I saw an up charge of $15 for a restaurant called For the Record. What ship is that on? I looked on the dining venue chart and didn't see it listed.

Great Review!!! We are booked in the Haven on BA for a June, 2018 Baltic cruise. We are in an Aft Penthouse. With the Baltic cruise being so port intensive (and long excursions), is it actually worth the Haven? This will be our first Haven cruise. We have a DOS booked in January but the Dawn has no Haven. These will be our first 2 cruises in 20 years. Any advice would be helpful. TIA.
I think have a butler on a port intensive cruise is a must. It's wonderful to have a great breakfast delivered before leaving for the day. If you don't feel like going out after a long day onshore, you can call the butler and have dinner from any restaurant delivered and served in suite.

Is that what happens???? That's why it takes longer for the ship's itinerary to get to Bermuda (64 hours) than to come back (41 hours)? I never got the reason for that.
Yesterday there were no openings at the pier until the Dawn and Grandeur OTS left in the afternoon. So there wouldn't be any place for BA to dock.

We got to Bermuda early so are just wandering around aimlessly until we can dock tomorrow.

Hmmm Marine Traffic still shows you a ways out still. BA with Summit following are at the top of the screen and the Dawn and Grandeur recently left Bermuda.

🤔That's new. Three cruises on BA in the Haven in the last 2 years and I never saw a boarding number. Either the Concierge or Butlers just escorted us on board as soon as everyone was cleared. We never got numbers.

Boarding usually begins 11-11:30ish. It depends on how fast the passengers clear the ship. They can't start boarding until that is completed. A lot of passengers want to board as soon as possible, I'm guilty of that. [emoji4] some want an early boarding number so they can get a Vibe pass. There's only 75 of those and they're passed out on a 1st come basis. Others just was their vacation to start as soon as possible. [emoji16]

What time is this? 8am'ish? Why are there so many people and is this common? (Sorry - have never taken NCL so this seems unusual to be there so early. What time do you board?)
I believe they are waiting in the security line. If you get there early, security isn't open yet and there is a line until it opens. Once open, the line moves very quickly. This is like TSA at the airport. They're scanning carry on bags etc.

Great pic! You're just waiting to go though security right? After your through there you should go to the Haven check in. No more waiting in line![emoji41]

Here´s aof the first mega block coming out of the building hall. You can see parts of the name on the side.I´m not sure whether the structure on the top is a rope course or a cart track.

I'm having trouble uploading photos. Any suggestions? I have apple products. So frustrating.
Sent from my iPad using Forums
I use Apple products also and I find it's very easy to upload pics, like the food porn pics from yesterday.
This is what I do from my iPhone 7+.
When you're in the thread click the 3 ... in the upper right corner, click reply, type your text, the to add pics, click the box with the mountain (if you have taken the pic earlier) or the camera (to take the pic now). I've had great luck with it sizing the pic so it will upload.
Good luck and have a great time!

Here's a link to the roll call for June 18, 2017.
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2354261. :) You can see if there are any solos on your cruise. Be sure to take advantage of the solo group meetings at the solo lounge. You don't have to be staying in a studio cabin to participate. Last year was my 1st time cruising solo and I had a fabulous time, and met some great people. 3 of us keep in touch, and are cruising on Bliss next year.

Thanks for the insight! We are eating at Ocean Blue the first night. Yum!

I did a b2b last year and went to Ocean Blue 3 times. My favorite entree was the Dover Sole. I had the Stone Crab Claws and the Crab Legs and the Stone Crab was much better. The Crab Legs were dry.
Hopefully Stefan is still the bartender at the Haven Bar...he's amazing. I asked him to make one of his specialities and he made me a rum cake. It was yummy!!

Linda,
PC is definitely on my bucket list and I couldn't think of a better class of ship to do it on. However, 15 days might be a tough one for me. I never say never though.
15 days will fly by...there is going to be sooo much to do on Bliss. You wouldn't be able to do everything in a single week. Plus, our roll call has so much planned, Bliss eve drinks, sail away, M&M, cabin crawl, slot pull...and not to be missed.....multiple pub crawls![emoji16][emoji33] and this was planned more than a year out. Who knows what else we'll think up![emoji15]

Glad you're enjoying the Escape! I need to save up so I can come over the pond again to sail on her unless NCL fancy giving us a Breakaway plus class ship based in Europe. She's my joint favourite ship so far!

You have an opportunity close to home....Breakaway is going to Europe next year. She's not an away plus, but she's close. She heads over mid-April and comes back to NYC in October.

I have a Nikon D750 and presently have both 28-300mm and 18-35mm Nikor lenses for it.
I really would like to only take two lenses with me (that's what fits in my camera bag). I'm concerned that the 300mm reach will be insufficient for nature photography, both off the ship and on excursions. We'll be in Denali before going on board ship.
Would the Nikor 80-400mm be a better choice to take, or the Tamron 15-600mm or the Sigma 150-600mm? Basically, is 300mm enough reach? Is 400 preferable? Is 600 overkill?
Obviously all expensive lenses which I don't own, but we do have other trips planned where I could see them getting use.
We used a Nikon 80-400mm and it was sufficient, but there are several shots I would have preferred a 600mm. Especially when we were in Denali. The brown bears were just not close enough.
I can recommend renting a lens instead of buying, unless you need something that large on a regular basis. I couldn't justify the cost. I was able to rent it for under $250 for 3 weeks! Much cheaper than buying. I rented from Lens Giant in Michigan.
