  1. Another vote for Nachi Cocom, a wonderful beach day. Excellent drinks, food, beach, pools. We got the added bonus of watching the local National Guard types, do some leaping out of helicopters and then riding in, and doing it over and over. Was loud, but fun to watch. Very interesting.

I will do Nachi Cocom every time I can..

Wear the sunscreen. My DH was in the shade all day, and still got a bad burn. lol

Uh oh, I believe Nachi is for adults only. Sorry.

  2. Yep, sorry, we are full. I booked the last inside cabin on monday for the 28th cruise making my 23rd a B2B.

Whew, got in just under the wire, have my first "I have no idea where my cabin is" cabin. But, I'm on for 10 days!!!! :D

And, NO, my rate was up considerably for the cruise on the 28th since it was in demand.

  3. So, my BFF and I are sick of this weather, so booked Fantasy, on the 23rd. We got to talking and thinking this might be better as a B2B. No cabins available until this morning, when suddenly there is a inside 1A available. I can live with a 1A, but since its a TBA no cabin number. Now, what happens if I don't get a cabin number before I set sail on the first leg? I think it would drive me crazy to not know where we will be for the 2nd leg for 5 days. Will they let me know before I sail, or turnaround day?

    Any ideas?

  4. I've been on Fantasy almost 8 times. I like that its a quick drive to the port from my home. If I had to fly, I would choose a more southern port. I would also pick a Caribbean destination, instead of Bahama's.

I prefer a Spirit class or larger, not thrilled with Fantasy class's layout.

I have never done a 7 day Fantasy cruise, if I'm doing a 7 day, I will drive to Florida.

Good luck, Fantasy is a great ship, with an excellent crew. Some must do's, are,

    Chef's table and the wonderful

    Behind the Fun tour

Charleston is a beautiful city to explore, don't forget Patriots Point.

  5. Personally, I'd rather see a pair of black Tevas in the MDR than some of the cheap-looking blingy "strappy" sandals I see on some women.

Take an ace bandage with you; wrap one ankle and wear the Tevas. If any snob complains, point to the bandage and lower your head and say, "I'm sorry if I offend you, but I can't put my strappy sandals on with this." ;)

I like the way you think. I also wear Teva's, and dress them up a bit by adding cute flat flower pins I found at Jo Ann's fabric's.. They are about 3 inches wide and black, like the shoes, and cover almost all the straps. Really makes them dressy. Who cares, nobody looks at your feet, I promise.

  6. Your going to laugh, but I have a cure. I love this feeling, and never want it to end, but end it will. I cure mine by booking another cruise. Really, it works. Doesn't matter how far out, how long, how close it is.

    Enjoy.

  7. I respectfully disagree. I'd much rather cruise Carnival. I am not impressed with Oasis, yes, its large and has bells and whistles, but its to big. I will take a Spirit class anytime as far as layout is concerned.

But, I am old, and don't care for slides, surfing, boardwalk, or night life.

Just gimmee a cruise and get out of my way.

I get more benefits from being Platinum on Carnival. I can cruise more often also.

I will take it. The good thing is there is room for all who love cruising no matter which line you choose.

  8. Hi everyone! We took our 1st cruise last summer and loved it, and are very excited to be booked for our 2nd in April.

One thing I didn't expect was the rocking sensation that I experienced after the cruise for approximately 5days on and off. I never had that feeling during our port days, so I was surprised to experience it within a couple of hours of disembarkation. My husband noticed it too, although his symptoms resolved fairly quickly.

We were on vacation at a beach for a week after our last cruise, so it really wasn't a big deal, more annoying than anything. This time however we are flying home the day we disembark, and returning to work the next day.

Just wondering if others experience this as well, and if you may have any tips to try to minimize the rocking. I don't want my boss to think I'm drunk after all

    Thanks for the help!

I love this feeling, I know I've been cruising, and its just part of the fun. I do have a cure though, just book another cruise. Really, it will go away as soon as you book, even if your next one is 10 years out.. Don't know why, but it works for me.
