Didn’t see that. Thought it was 70. Can you please copy & post it.

Oops. Still 70. Still affects a large segment of their base.

Hope they relax it by fall. Don't mind the temp check but a drs note will be hard to get no matter how healthy you are. Guess canes, wheel chairs and electric scooters are a thing of the past.

It is not discriminatory.  There are already many instances where seniors are required medical clearance.  As an example some excursions (such as scuba diving) requires medical clearance for seniors.

For now it is still going to be required once they start up again.  There is notice to that effect on the Celebrity website not sure if it is on Royal's or not yet

Unless you really need to get the OBC from the stock now This has a long way to bottom out.  Last time we had a recession in 2009 it hit 5.00 which was crazy cheap.

unlikely to hit that now,  but the point is a reference for just how low it can go.   I believe the previous high when it went to 5.00 was around $30 or so at the time,  so it dropped down to 1/6 value.  RCI has half the ships then, but the point is that it’s a mass sell off in a recession.

If RCI has a ship with corona or the Caribbean gets corona it’s hard to say just how low it can go.

Its definitely not a bad buy now,  just be prepared for it to fall even more if you buy in now.

Bank America went to1 around 2008. Kicking myself that I didn't buy it. Too scared then

I canceled under the cruise with confidence offer before refunds were being offered. When they canceled and offered 100% refund or 125% FCC that was a better deal for most people.

But I am looking at this from the flip side; without knowing how long this crisis continues, when cruises will resume or what pricing will look like, if my or my spouses job will be secure, or if the company survives even, I'm looking at the FCC at best as just a coupon discount on a future cruise and at worst it turns to a value of $0 (which given the nearness of my sail date would have been the refund due for cancellation unless I had used my trip insurance).

That said though instead of wanting the additional credit on the FCC others got (that's great for them, I'm not jealous and don't want to take anything from them) if I had the option to forego the FCC and get 80% cash refund I would.

    Anyone else?

are you offering to buy fcc?

As to the 70+ doctor note-I am in that group and received a TEXT from RCCL last night at 8:00 telling me to check my email for an important message concerning my April 5 cruise.  The email was concerning  having to get a doctor note (which most doctors would not sign as it would open them to possible liability) and telling me that if I could not comply, I should "immediately" call and cancel my cruise and receive future cruise credits.  Since I can cancel and receive those credits up until April 2, why do I have to do it "immediately" when they are already being bombarded with calls?  A cynical person MIGHT think that they want to give out credits instead of a refund, which could happen anytime now since a National Health Emergency is supposed to be declared this afternoon by the president, if he can accurately read a statement which has, hopefully, been written by someone with a grasp of the English language.  Just my opinion on why the 70+ policy was enacted.

your last sentence is repugnant and doesn't belong here.

  6. I am booked in sr 8524 for an upcoming cruise.

In studying deck plans I noticed that deck 9 above shows as vacant on the deck plan while deck10 is the buffet. Does this mean that I will be directly below the galley or does something else occupy this space?
