There also has to be an available cabin in the same category to do this. It sounds like is the experience with the OP though.

Goat cheese souffle, flourless chocolate cake (the old version) and the spring rolls that they used to serve on night one. Unfortunately, no spring rolls in January. We also had a camembert cheese with reduced balsamic vinegar topping from the Chef's table that I still dream of.

We think it is. It's wonderful to just walk in and be able to eat when you want. You can have the same wait staff. One special meal is prepared for CC. It's not as crowded. We love it.

I'm trying to figure out the safest place to eat since it seems like many passengers think the dining room may be where they contacted Covid. Too bad we can't have the dining room food delivered to our cabins.

Anyone completing ArriveCan information, can you comment on what you are putting for Quarantine plan? Also, do you have to do the website ArriveCan and also the app? It is confusing.
My husband called Canada to speak to someone about this because he's going fishing there in June. He'll be staying at a remote cabin. He was told he just needed to list an address that had food, water and shelter. I would think the ship would qualify.

Have you tried using anything other than an iPhone? We cruised in January and had read there was an issue using iPhones. We tried anyway and it didn't work. Then we used our (non apple) laptop and had no problem. Can you use something else?

We're Elite and our last Medallions were blue. Passenger services put a sticker over it. I did notice that our order in the app showed them as blue but I figured it was a mistake. Then the next cruise I booked showed mine as blue and my husband's as black. I cancelled that order and reordered and now they show as black. How they can get something like that wrong is beyond me.

I think so - I booked Princess Plus for mine. I just tried to check and I'm getting the "Pricing isn't Available" message even though I'm logged in. You should check back, have no idea when.
I was so tempted to book the San to Tokyo! But I have a dog and I think that would be too long to leave her because I'd want to stay in Japan for awhile once I got there. Lovely country!
Are you Elite ? Non Elite can book tomorrow. -
Does anyone know which dining room is used for Club Class on the Diamond Princess?
-
I kept jumping on there this morning and didn’t realize until about 1030 that I needed to be signed in to see the cruises.

Princess will most likely test everyone on board before you get off in Vancouver.

So we fly to Vancouver on May 4, arriving at about 8:00 pm, for a May 7 cruise what testing do we need to do and when? Also are the proctored electronic tests accepted under these rules? And no we can not change our plans without cancelling the entire trip. Not going to do that.
My husband is going on a fishing trip to Canada and we've been researching. It looks like a home proctored test will work but it can only be done one day before boarding.

I read this article elsewhere and I think I misunderstood something. We're going on an Alaskan cruise starting in San Francisco. I thought it was saying that we had to do the rapid test one day before boarding in SF but now I think they are talking about a cruise starting in Canada. At least I hope so. But bummer for those cruisers. It's next to impossible to get a test in our area.

Thanks! I’m happy to dine in club class dining but we do like meeting new people at big tables… do those exist in cc or is it all tables for two?
That wouldn't really work in Club Class because there are no reservation times set up. They seat you when you show up. All you could possibly do is meet some people and set up a meeting time between you and show up together. Or ask to be seated with others if they are at a table with a couple empty seats and that would be pretty awkward!

We finally were able to eat in Sabatinis this year and I have to say that we don't know what the hype was. Yes they had a wonderful french toast but that's about all we thought. We were they only ones in there twice and the service was slow. At least we experienced it.

The custom decoration is nothing more than a sticker.
With the right equipment, one could make their own.
Are you positive it's just a sticker? We were thinking about doing it for our next cruise but we won't if it's just a sticker. We were sent blue medallions instead of black on our last cruise. ☹️ (How do they screw that up?) You could tell it was obviously just a sticker and could see the blue around the edges.

I realize that the OP has sailed. I would never book a forward cabin, especially higher decks. But I get motion sick so I guess it's up to how the person handles rough seas.

We're going to Alaska for the second time in August and I can't wait. I'm sure you'll love Princess.
We just cruised in January and I"m thinking we were able to get our boarding time about 3 weeks before. We were never able to pick a disembarkation time but we wanted to stay until the last minute so it wasn't a problem for us.

We had an excursion disappear on our cruise in January. Credit wasn't taken for it. We got on the ship and there were excursion tickets. Maybe a new way of doing things but I don't like it.

Not really practical.
For disembarking the ship, Elites (and suites) usually just get at the end of the current line for a tender. Sometimes they have to instead meet separately from the non-Elites and get a tender for Elites.
When does this way, no Elite pushes ahead of someone in a line. What the non-Elites do not see does not make them unhappy.
But for returning to the ship, those not eligible would be seeing the Elites bypass them in line and be quite upset. Result, very unhappy non-Elites, especially if waiting in a line when it is cold and raining.
It would probably be as useful as the Elite line at Passenger Services. (It's not) There's no way they could keep letting Elite people return to the ship and let the other passengers line get longer and longer. It just wouldn't work.

I don't know what your Medallion issue is but I wish I hadn't stressed about everything before cruising. Our friends and us all had different issues (she wasn't able to do the health part the day before boarding, for example. We had the wrong color Medallions, etc.) It all turned out to be no big deal and was solved in minutes once checking in or onboard.

I had Twinnings English Breakfast in the dining room every morning. Sweetners are name brand.

I never have a problem getting distilled water from Princess. You request it in advance on the Cruise Personalizer. Ask the cabin steward if it's not already there.
Generally, they have a European plug to plug in a lamp beside the bed. I take an adapter with two outlets. I unplug the lamp, plug in the adapter, plug the lamp back in to the adapter, and plug my CPAP in to the adapter. This can be left there the entire cruise, and I believe it is easier and safer than running an extension cord to another plug. This requires that your CPAP be dual voltage (since it is a 220v plug) - it probably is but you need to check it to make sure.
We just returned from the Sky and it was a pain to remember to plug in the extension cord every night. I had read about the adapters earlier but was freaked out about possibly ruining my CPAP machine using one. I have a Resmed 10. I don't see anything but do you have to switch the voltage somewhere on the machine?
Need a source for proctored covid tests in the USA ... who you using?

We have Federal BCBS. They wouldn't reimburse us because they said we were not ill when we purchased them.
