If he takes any narcotics he should leave those in the original container. Others can be put in a weekly pill box. Also, take a list with dosage and prescriber info.

Clos du Bois and Zen of Zin are wines. The bartenders can't do anything about that. 🙂
Ooops! Sorry, not a wine aficionado .

Two of our favorites are missing : Zin of Zen and Clos de Bois. Guess we will have to find new favorites. Does anybody know if this new drink menu is on the Crown yet ?
In our experience the bartenders will make anything we want, as long as they know how. You're not limited to this menu.

Just a guess, but I also saw a post "elsewhere" from someone who had numerous unlikely complaints, including that the dining room wasn't open for breakfast and lunch. They appeared to post, then sit back to watch the show .

I don't even try to go to the Princess site on the weekend. They're almost always doing maintenance. Wait until Monday if you can.

When we were on Island in September, they said it would be out in November. All of the bartender's had to go to a meeting on how to fix the new cocktails.

Pam I am confused with your reply. Did the chopper land on the ship? How does passengers on balcony come into play? Thanks for your response in advance.
Timmy
They ask that passenger's on the side of the ship where the helicopter will be hovering, stay off their balconies because of the draft and also to avoid distracting the pilot (i.e. with flash photography).

I just booked it myself online. Should I just call the normal Princess hotline?
Yes, but I'd probably wait until Monday morning. I don't think you'll have a problem booking. You did check under Travel Arrangements on your booking?
Have a great cruise :) !

Here's a link to the sheets on Amazon:Tell me more about those combo packs. I've never seen or heard of them and they sound wonderful. -
Good info! :D
My question is: are there choices of water temps - I like to wash some items in cold water?
There is a cold water setting, but no tap water on the ship is ever truly cold. It's tepid at best and sometimes lukewarm.

We use a copy of our Proxy Vote statement. Don't have to black out all the info about other investments. We paid about $32.00 a long time ago and have definitely gotten our money's worth!

Thanks everyone! Thrak, I always enjoy your posts, OT or not :) .
Some of the above cabins are still listed as HC. We'll check when we book our next cruise. Getting in and out of a tub with knee problems is a pain in more ways than one!

I'm sure I've seen deck plans with a few mini-suites that have only a shower, but now I can't find the ship(s) they're on. Can anyone help?
Thanks,

We'll be there for two weeks in September on Island Princess. Can't wait to see Alaska again!
Thanks for the great pics!

Thank heavens now that I am elite, I get to stay away from the laundromat. Room steward takes care of the laundry and dry cleaning - what a bonus and a great perk!!!!!
That's great, but be aware that if there are many Elite's onboard the laundry service can take between 4 and 5 days to get back to you  ! On our last cruise we used the self serve laundry since we pack minimally.

We had a guy at Crooner's threaten to "beat you up and your fat wife, too". The bartender's watched him and were about to call security when his friend got him out of there.
I later learned that he and his wife had been banned from any place that was selling alcohol.
I would have had the bartender's call security ASAP instead of waiting, but I guess they have their rules.

Carnival Corp owns Princess and other cruise line's. I wouldn't be surprised to see sharing when necessary.

Last April we stayed in Sydney for six days before a cruise. We picked the Meriton Serviced Apartments, Kent Street. It was a great place to stay, the people were incredibly friendly and helpful, and it was reasonably priced. There's a Cole's Market and a Woolies within easy walking distance for stocking up.
We went to Paddy's Market (more souvenirs than you'll ever need :) ! We also went to the zoo, which was nice, but we were disappointed to find that you had to pay extra to "visit" the koala's. Be sure to start at the top and work your way down! It's on a mountainside!
We also went to The Rocks area on Saturday when they have a "flea market". That was fun and interesting.
I think anything that you do that's new to you will be a great experience!

Just FYI, if you're Elite and supposed to get free laundry service, if there are a lot of Elite's on board it can take up to 5 days to get your laundry back :(! You might want to plan to spend 2 hours some afternoon to go to the Passenger Laundry and wash and dry your own clothes. Also, be aware that there's no such thing as "cold" water wash.
We just don't take anything that we wouldn't want to be ruined.

You didn't ask for less expensive suggestions, but here goes anyways -
LaQuinta Fort Lauderdale Airport in Hollywood, FL
We've stayed here several times and are booked for a date in April close to yours for about $125.00 per night. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean and they offer a free shuttle from the airport and to the cruise port ($8.00 pp), and a "free" breakfast.

On our last cruise to Australia and New Zealand we bought $100.00 of each one's currency at our bank. We didn't use it all, but returned the unused portion when we got home. It might cost you a few dollars, but to us it was worth it to be prepared!
We did tip taxi driver's by rounding up on our credit card, but didn't tip anyone else.
Speaking of "contactless payment", we'd never heard of "tapping" our credit card! It really is a tap, not a slide or an insert. Just hit the "button" with your card!

We stayed at La Quita several times and they allow parking up to 14 days. They have transportation to cruise terminal for a nominal charge.

We've stayed at the La Quinta in Hollywood, Florida, quite a few times. It's not a fancy place, but it's clean and they offer cruise parking and a shuttle to the ship for a price. They also have an included breakfast. Last time we were there the shuttle to the ship was $8.00 pp. The website says starting in December there will be a $5.00 per day charge for parking. http://www.lq.com/en/findandbook/hotel-details.0985.address.html?from=%2Fcontent%2Flq%2Flq-com%2Fen&searchCity=Hollywood%2C+Florida%2C+US&indate=08%2F20%2F2017&outdate=08%2F21%2F2017&specialRates=RAC&promoCode=&sessionId=24d3efb2-34fa-4212-8ff2-83c72c50b8b2&searchType=GEO&lat=26.0112014&lon=-80.14949009999998&searchRadius=40&addressredirectPage=null&stateAndCountryCode=+Florida%2C++US

Mr. Gut, I'm so sorry to hear this :(. You've been SO helpful on both of our cruise's to and from Sydney. I don't think I would have been nearly as comfortable without your help!
I hope that you and Mrs. Gut are doing better very soon.
Enjoy that new puppy!

Yes, we like some "normal" snacks! We bring a small amount of homemade trail mix. Nuts, M&M's, almonds, raisin's (or sultana's), etc., for snacking between lunch and dinner while we take a rest. We add whatever we find on the buffet. Sometimes there's nut's and raisin's, sometimes not:(.
Setting up account on Cunard website
in Cunard Line

I'm thinking of taking a cruise with Cunard and trying to save several cruises. I can't find a way to set up an account and login. Can someone tell me how to do this?
Thanks!
