  1. I just stayed at the Crowne Plaza in January. It was about a 3/4 mile walk to San Pedro port. There is a nice sidewalk leading to the port. We walked to the Celebrity ship which was a little more confusing to get to through the parking lot, but doable. The hotel has an inexpensive shuttle that I would recommend if you have a lot of baggage or aren’t in good physical shape. I would probably not stay here again. The room was fine with normal hotel wear and tear, good dining options etc., but the check in situation was very chaotic since the majority of hotel guests were one night stay cruisers and the hotel doesn’t seem to be able to get all the rooms clean by check in time. The lobby was packed with a bunch of angry, tired cruisers, luggage stacked everywhere and a large line. The rooms are given out first come first served as soon as housekeeping can clean them. We arrived at check in time and had to wait about an hour for our room. There are limited hotel options in San Pedro and they are somewhat pricey for what you get. In the future, I will stay near the airport and uber to the port in the morning.
  2. It sounds like the dining package would be a good choice for you if you are foodies and looking for a more intimate dining experience. You should make all your reservations for the week as soon as you get on board at any of the specialty dining restaurants. It is a lot of food though. Another option is the three night specialty dining package which would give you a chance to try a little of everything. The main dining room has traditional or my time dining. My time dining just means you can walk up with or without a reservation and be seated. Usually you have to wait in a bit of a line with the no reservation option, so I think your choice of 530 traditional is a good one. You can wear your wedding dress if you want. You would probably feel less out of place wearing it on one of the two formal nights around dinner time when there are a lot of other people dressed up. As far as decorations, that is allowed. A lot of people like to just decorate their door. I would think that week will be somewhat crowded around Spring break, but you can usually find a quiet spot somewhere on the ship or hang out in your room for a bit when you need some quiet time.
