There is a selection of teas in the buffet (Darjeeling, English Breakfast, herbal). To be sure, I'd suggest you pack the tea you prefer. There is hot water available by spout in the buffet area and you can always get a pot of hot water in a carafe via room service. Of course tea/hot water in the dining room as well.
If you do not wish to order specialty coffees, there is regular coffee available for free in the buffet and dining room - although not to everyone's taste....
As for wine at dinner, you may order by the glass or by the bottle. If you do not finish the bottle it will be kept for you for the meal time.
You may also carry on two bottles of wine at embarkation for consumption in your stateroom or if you bring it to the dining table, you may be charged $15 corkage fee.
Cheers.

As for the casino, I reckon your first two cruises will be in AUD whilst the third will be in USD. They might start to change the machines during the end of the second cruise and for certain on the turnaround day.
Enjoy your cruises on Diamond Princess!

I'd choose the Grand. I prefer a 10 day cruise. And I also like Alfredo's Pizzeria. Better with less passengers too.

I've packed a thin merino or cashmere sweater to keep warm, a scarf always, thin leather gloves, and a toque (wool hat).
Make sure to pack an umbrella as it could rain.

Hi. Some ideas for Nagasaki:
Atomic Bomb Museum and the Nagasaki Peace Park. Amazing. We took local transit from the port to this area and walked to it. Get a map - in the terminal where you can also ask for help/directions.
Glover Garden - slightly uphill but walking distance from the ship. Nice gardens, good view of the ship, eat some food (like Castella cake - popular in Nagasaki), drink beer on the way down. Lots of shops about.
As for Busan, I took the ship's (Princess Cruises) shuttle into downtown and strolled about, saw the fish market, had a drink in a cat cafe', and went shopping. My husband took a ship's excursion further afield to a temple.

Doesn't sound like Rio De Janeiro is a great port to embark or disembark!

We've just stayed at a hotel in Union Square (got a good price from a travel promo). I think SF is quite expensive for accommodation. We used the public bus to get around - cheap and the transfer was good for a few hours.
To get to the port we took a taxi - it was around $10.

Things may have changed since it's been deployed to Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
I was on the Japan cruises.

I was on the Diamond two years ago and indeed there are US outlets. Used my curling iron (I'm from Canada) at the desk outlet, no problem.

Whilst it may not be the same recipe as Princess you could look to some online recipe websites for a similar version.

As for the small cereal boxes, they have: Corn Flakes, Special K, All-Bran, Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Raisin Bran.
My son likes to snack on these. They are available in the buffet at breakfast only.

There is a Kids Menu available that includes Mac and Cheese. Of course there are all sorts of pastas available daily.
This may also be a good time to experiment a little with food! Order a small portion of something new-to-him off the menu and your child may like it. Or go to the buffet and have your son choose his own food; with so much variety, I'm sure there will be something he'll like.
Cheers!

Not likely for that amount. I'd have to see the menu...
I always eat at Crown Grill and/or Sabatini's at least once per cruise.

Hi!
Does anyone have Patters for this cruise to post?
That would be grand!

If it is offered on your sailing, the sign up will be in the Kids' Club.

Sorry, forgot a word in a sentence:
If you do not finish the bottle of wine, it will be held for you/put away until the next dinner/lunch - the next day.
