If you are booking with a promo perk of the 3rd and 4th passengers are free - book it NOW and
take advantage of that - the perk promo may not be repeated and adding that 3rd and/or 4th person
later may not be possible as the previous posts have indicated.
The 3rd and 4th persons while Free still pay the port fees and taxes.
But in Summary Book that 3rd person NOW !
Yeah that promo isn’t on our cruise :(

Too hot? Comfortable enough to enjoy a lounger in the sun? Hoping it’s not tooo hot!

Say we have 2 people to a room so far, and another person isn't sure yet - providing 3 are allowed to sleep in the room, does NCL allow us to add that 3rd person to the room reservation at a later date? Or does it all have to be done at one time...

How are the included mixed drinks? Planning a girls weekend on Sky this summer. I like my martinis and wine - assume those are included too?

Planning a cruise out of Miami and seeing cheaper flights into FLL. Looking for best options for hotel and transportation to hotel from airport, hotel to port, port to FLL airport. Thoughts?
We'd prefer a hotel that has complimentary shuttles to the port if possible.

Hubby and I would love to plan a Hawaiian cruise but I’ve read mixed reviews on the POA. While we love NCL, are there other lines that offer a better experience?

Considering a girls trip on the Sky this summer but a slight concern is that it’s a loud party ship now? Anyone been on the open bar trips with it recently?

Taking recommendations on hotels in Miami that have free shuttles to the cruise port?
Thanks!

Oh good idea on the zipper bags!
'
I take all medicine, puddle jumper (if needed) for any non swimmer although they offer life jackets but my child would be more comfortable in her swimmers, diapers/wipes if needed. Don't forget that if not potty trained then they can't use the main pool but some ships have a small area for the swim diapers. Bring lots of sunscreen and any shampoo, etc if sensitive skin. Now for clothes, I pack a day's worth of clothes (day and evening) in a ziplock gallon size bag and label it with the day. On our first cruise, my kids were on their own to chose and needless to say they'd change into a new outfit every time we went back to the room and then they ran out of clothes.
Then other things as needed for your shore excursions which may or may not be necessary: swim shoes, mask and snorkel, goggles.
There is also a family forum that has great ideas.

Cruising with kids ages 2-8... We don't have to fly in, thank goodness, but we still don't want to take more than needed. What should we definitely remember to bring and what should we leave at home?
-
Awesome thank you!

Is the Adventure Ocean/Aquanauts program free/included in the price you pay for the cruise - or is it an additional charge? I know the NURSERY portion is extra, but I can't find anything for the potty trained 3 year olds and up program.
Thank you!

Forgive me for all the questions...
I'm reading through the wonderful review of the Liberty in prep for our first Royal cruise next year. I've seen the portion of the daily newsletter that states a "Suggested Dress Code" every day? One day was 'casual/whites', another was formal with ties. Is this a suggested attire for the day on the ship? Just at dinner? How does that apply to small kids 2-7?
Thanks!
-
Ok a more specific question - our youngest will be nearly 2 and 3 when we cruise - on Liberty. Are ALL pools diaper free? Not even swim diapers? The will be 3 year old MAY be potty trained by then, I hope!
-
We haven't cruised since our oldest, now 7, was 1 - and that was on NCL. Now we've added 3 more to the mix since then. Any tips to cruising with young kids on RCL?
Thanks!!!

We've only ever cruise NCL, and going on our first Royal cruise next year - Liberty. Any tips or anything we should know?
When booking, I already learned we're going to have to get used to not have the Freestyle eating option.. do you always have to eat with other people on Royal??

Keep the door between rooms open, so you can hear if the door is opened....maybe close the drapes and pin some bells to the top...the 4 year old can't open the door. And think about it...has the 4 year old ever jumped off some sort of high railing before? Kids have amazing self--preservation skills. They will be fine.
So the adjoining door stays open easily? You have a point... though she does tend to jump off the couch despite our best efforts to have her NOT do that.

A two year old would not be able to open the slider.
I believe there are child locks on the upper part of the slider, but I suspect a seven year old would be able to move a chair near the door, climb up, and release the lock.
Liberty has a very few connecting staterooms where one is a balcony and the other is either an inside or oceanview. Check out the forward and aft ends of deck 9.
These are already booked :( It would have been an excellent option though!
-
Yeah I'm not terribly concerned that my 7 year old would go out when instructed not to, or for that matter climb over pushed furniture to get to the door. BUT my 4 year old... ha, her I wouldn't put it past her.
-
Is there a way to child proof the balcony doors so that small kids 7-2 can't somehow get out on to the balcony. I ask because we're looking at adjoining rooms but I'm paranoid and afraid my kids are going to get on the balcony at night and give me a heart attack.
I've googled and found some really old threads - one said there might be a secondary lock at the top of the door that kids can't reach?
Liberty & Vision of the Seas by the way.
Thanks!
-
Are there any rooms that sleep 6 that also have a balcony? Specifically on the Liberty or Vision of the Seas?
-
This is EXACTLY what I needed, THANK YOU!
Family staterooms: -
We would need a 2 bedroom suite for our family of 6. Booking two separate rooms would not work for us. I'm more familiar with NCL and know they have 2 bedroom suites, but so far I haven't been able to find one on an RCL cruise. Am I searching for something that isn't even an option?
Thanks!
Sky Sail Away balconies
in Norwegian Cruise Line

The Sail Away balconies on Sky - I see the fine print that your view may be partially or fully obstructed - how many rooms are really affected by obstructed views?
Also - are their lounge chairs on the balcony or just regular outdoor chairs?
Thanks!
