  1. Yes, my dad and I both wore jeans and we had no issues.
  2. Wonderful! You will definitely enjoy it. Yes-pretty distasteful for someone on a luxury cruise! He put on a long sleeve shirt and was let back in-with the basketball shorts and tights still on. Not ideal, but I don’t think the crew wanted to make him go change again and I don’t blame him haha.
  3. Thank you! I suppose I can use this post as a bit of a trip report. Everyone and everything top notch so far. Dining at Indochine tonight, and we were promptly sat by the window. Food is excellent, and we were served a delicious drink called an Asian Mist. It was so good, in fact, my father (who does not drink) ordered another for himself. One young gentleman attempted to dine in a sleeveless shirt and basketball shorts and was promptly sent out to change, despite his protests that he thought tonight was casual night. He apparently didn’t get the memo that this isn’t Carnival. 😉
  4. Hey all, Just boarded the Silver Muse today, and our butler just told us that we can “absolutely” wear jeans for casual attire (at least for tonight). Does this line up with everyone else’s experiences? Also, if anyone has any questions about certain things onboard, I’d be happy to try to find out answers for you if I can! Just let me know! :)
  5. Wow, that's great to hear! Is it a brand they typically stock onboard?
  6. I never dismissed the very real issues hitting the supply chain right now; I merely said that many businesses are defaulting to that as an easy excuse, regardless of whether or not it may be applicable to their particular industry. As you can note, I said it was understandable for them to say that-I simply did not understand why this would present a significant challenge for a company with the purchasing power of the second largest cruise line in the world. If this were a small, independent company, I wouldn't dream of making such a request, but I figured it wouldn't be a tremendous ask as Zevia is actually a publicly traded company with very large distribution in the US and Canada. Yes, it's no Nestle, but it's no bespoke product either.
  7. This is onboard the Silver Muse sailing from Vancouver in a few weeks. So, not too far off the grid. 😂 From what I was told, they will have the beverages you mentioned, but my family is somewhat particular, as you can imagine.
  8. That's understandable; but we were just requesting some Zevia soda which can be found at Target, Walmart, etc. Again, perhaps I need to taper my expectations!
  9. Hello all, I reached out to the special requests/services department at SS, and they informed me that there may be a fee to request specific sugar-free beverages be made available in our suite aside from what they typically have stocked onboard. Based on prior experience, have any of you been able to (ahead of time) successfully request a specific beverage or item not traditionally available onboard to be provided in your stateroom without any additional fee? As a luxury line, it would have been my expectation that given enough time in advance, requests like this could be accommodated without any hoopla. I was given the now-par-for-the-course excuse of "due to supply chain issues, covid, etc" as rationale for the items potentially being unavailable/added at a fee; this is understandable to an extent, but I can't imagine an item that can be found in most stores would be difficult to procure and cost extra, given the premium fare we're already paying. Am I being unreasonable? This is my first time on a luxury line/SS. Thank you!
  10. If absolutely necessary, we will do this if SS is unable to accommodate, though I find that scenario unlikely as X was able to provide apple sauce without any issues on our Nov cruise with them.
  11. I have reached out to both of these emails and am hopeful for a response. Thank you for providing them!
  12. Unfortunately, there was no option to make custom requests under dietary preferences; all options were for special diets, allergies, etc. I’m not entirely sure who you’re referring to for the cruise consultant part as we booked through an agent and never were put into contact with a consultant.
  13. Hi all, I will be taking my first cruise onboard Silversea in a few weeks aboard the Muse sailing from Vancouver to Seward, AK. On other lines with suites, we've generally had access to some kind of pre-cruise concierge where requests could be made (On NCLs Haven, X's Retreat, etc.) However, I have not found such an option for Silversea, and it is greatly needed as my mother has partial throat muscle paralysis from a brain tumor she had removed last summer, and requires apple sauce in order to take her medications. That said, is there any way to get in contact with the line to specifically request this for our suite ahead of time to ensure she can have access to this? Is the best approach just to call the line directly? There was no option for custom requests on the mySilversea online portal, interestingly enough. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
