It could be software issues, hardware issues, less than competent I.T. techs or any combination of those factors.  Only they would be able to tell you.

Personally, I haven't noticed constant issues as you reported.

Last 3 days Princess website, I have unable to book a cruise

  2. I like to book my own cruises online , it should be a clear cut process.

Lately ( last several years ) there seems to be a constant issue with cruise line websites not functioning properly.

That said , can anyone who is more tech savy than myself tell me what the issue or issues are that are causing these websites

not to function as they should.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

  3. Hi Everyone,

I have been trying to book a cruise on the Princess website for 2 days , it lets me get fairly well into the booking and then I get the sprocket icon spinning around and around.
Anyone that can advise, I would appreciate to read your suggestions.

     Thanks in advance.

  4. An upgraded cabin in the same cabin class , an exclusive dining room on the Pinnacle class ships , a dedicated customers service line at the customer service desk , priority embarkation and disembarkation and maybe even a fancier bathrobe !

There is also a Club Orange tote bag included in the package.

These are most of the perks as I recall from Our March of 2023 cruise on the Rotterdam.

We chose to try Club Orange on this cruise.

The cost was $25. Per day per person for the Club Orange option.

I made that mistake on my first cruise ever.  I was on the Equinox with Celebrity and I knew I was reaching my limit on my credit card so I went down on the last night and paid in cash and got a zero balance receipt.  Next morning I go to disembark and get the loud warning bell that I am denied leaving because I have a balance.  WHAT????  It was SO humiliating.  I had to go back to the "front desk" and asked them to explain why I was denied leaving.  They told me I had a balance and I asked for the folio.  When she printed it it was identical to the zero balance sheet from the night before.  I asked how much cash was needed to pay zero?  The purser looked at me sheepishly and offered no apology.  I was finally cleared to leave.

That said on the next cruise with 2 friends from the first (all in separate cabins/reservations) one of us always had a money problem.  After Friend 1 and I left the ship we passed Friend 2 leaning on a pillar with a cruise employee standing there.  We didn't pay much attention at first but asked if she wanted to share a cab to the airport with us.  She said no she had some "business" to take care of.  As we waited to get our luggage we were talking about what could be wrong and another passenger said they had heard her talking to the employees and she had a balance she couldn't pay.  We lost touch with her and I don't know how it was handled but she was off the ship but an employee was standing there next to her for what purpose I don't know.  My guess is they had her sign a promissory note before she could claim her luggage and go home.

That really stinks. I would hope they would have provided you with an FCC for your inconvenience.

    Hello,

We always stayed in aqua class but we booked 6 weeks out of our upcoming cruise and we only had a choice of a deluxe oceanview.  What brand of shampoo/conditioner will be in these rooms?  We love bigelow products in fact I buy them to use at home.

    Eau de Dollar Store.

  7. If you don’t mind the palm parking garage, drop your luggage at 18 with the porters , park in the palm parking garage which happens to be across the street from terminal 25. Of course you must then walk back to 18.

If you are not a parking garage fan ( I’m not ) park and go is a reasonable option at a cheaper price. They drop you at 18 and pick you up at 25 and take you back to your car.

My wife and I have come to the conclusion that we aren't really all that good traveling with other people.  It seems most times that we travel with others our schedules and interests tend to diverge if we travel with others.  This includes friends that we spend time and socialize with on a regular basis at home

Are we in the minority?  How do you get along with others during cruises and trips?  We have a cruise of 15 days coming up at the start of 2025 with another couple where are daily routine and interests are somewhat different.

BTW - our rule for traveling with our kids, now all adults, is simply that everyone simply needs to show up for dinner.  I may try to extend that rule to traveling with another couple on our upcoming cruise.

I understand and totally agree. We all have our own style when cruising , nothing against friends or family , but it is difficult to have your style match theirs and vice versa.
