My father used to say " where there is smoke , there is fire " . There have been multiple comments of "short comings" on the empress. there have been very few complimentary comments. Hopefully the attention your posts along with others will speed up corrections of all the issues mentioned. May your cruise be enjoyable for you and your family.

just remember if you consolidate, that your family will have 1 bathroom to use as opposed to 2. Have a great cruise :D

thanks for the suggestion of grabbing something the day before to bring to the cabin for the last morning. it has been our experience that the morning of disembarkation is pretty rocky when it comes to breakfast... for various reasons.

Mentally prepared ?...this is not supposed to be like going into combat or boot camp. This is a paid vacation, with many people having to travel to the port from distant locations.... Shame on rccl , they know better.

is the sky going in for dry dock, or is it chartered during late august through late october ???ncl website does not list any cruises for the sky during that period of time.

I have been reading that the cabins are not ready before 2 pm. Would there be a problem arriving for embarkation after 2 pm ?
