Our ship will overnight in Kobe port in March. We basically have one and a half days in port. We would like to travel to Kyoto the day we dock and overnight in Kyoto, returning to the ship the following day.

What train do we use to get from Kobe port to Kyoto? Any hotel recommendations?

Has anyone done a tea plantation tour from Shanghai?

Are there laundry rooms on the Insignia?

We were on the Insignia from Bali to Singapore just this March/April. I told my husband before we left that I would not be doing any wash on our 28 days aboard. Boy was I wrong! I could not wait to do the wash after some of the shore excursions. It was so hot and humid in Southeast Asia that our clothes either had to be thrown away or washed! I usually did the wash on a day at sea around lunch time. Never had a problem getting it done. P.S.You sometimes meet the most interesting people in the laundry room. Tea Snob

My husband and I are U.S. citizens flying in from U.S. to Bali, Indonesia then embarking a cruise ship in Bali to other Southeast Asian countries a couple of days later. Just want to confirm that we get the visa at the airport in Bali. Thanks in advance for your help.
