  1. Last night's dinner in the PG. We are on several B2BS but many people are preparing to disembark tomorrow. Only drudgery for us is meeting in Main Stage tomorrow morning to clear customs and since this is a Collectors cruise I imagine the group will be substantial. I am going to ask to sit away from the bunched up passengers. One more respiratory illness for me will probably take me off the ship. Overall this itinerary was wonderful. Varied ports, nice with the addition of Dominica and St. John.
  2. Good afternoon from HMC. The rough seas ended and we were able to tender ashore though it was very breezy. I understand whatever BHB was due in HMC yesterday wasn't able to stop. I had an early start with 9 am horseback riding. I understand the water part of the riding will be suspended for the remainder of today. Many people are preparing to depart in FLL tomorrow. Such a luxury to be on B2Bs. Happy birthday @smitty34877! 🎂🍾 Prayers for Tana and that she continues to heal. @aliaschief Happy birthday to Sue!
  3. Good morning from HMC. I will be going ashore for horse back riding. Here is today's Daily Activities.
  4. The rough seas continue if it is going to happen better today than tomorrow in HMC. Lots of people moving about for bingo, clearance sales and the World Stage lecture on the workings of the ship. John had wanted to eat in the PG for lunch, never mind we had a 6 pm HIA reservation for dinner. It worked well anyway to fill a day that I had intended at the beginning of the cruise to get some serious gym time in. My lungs are far from ready that so we embraced the laziness, lots of food porn today. For starters John had the Tomato Lemongrass soup and I had Carpaccio. Next was the black cod sandwich and I had Cioppino. I was pleased John had thought his sandwich would be deep fried like at home. He topped it off with the Brownie dessert. Last of all is my room service dinner to enjoy the Lions game in the cabin. A delightfully crispy spring roll and Wiener Schnitzel.
  5. Good morning from rough seas in the Caribbean heading towards HMC tomorrow.
  6. Good morning from rough seas in the Caribbean heading towards Half Moon Cay. Thanks for the Daily Reports, maps and cares and celebrations reports. Prayers for everyone needing them on our list. Vanessa you can remove me from the care list. I am pretty much back on the mend and ending my antibiotic today. Now John is coughing. We were in Ushuia on January 29thlast year and toured the National Park. It was lovely.
  7. @atexsix Bruno I am glad your father has gotten into hospice for both of your sakes. I hope they can provide some needed support to you through this difficult time. 🙏 Your feelings about everyone else moving through their lives and what an alone feeling it is to bearing through what you are doing makes my heart hurt for you and your Dad. We are here for you and thanks for sharing your life right now. @VMax1700 and @grapau27. Thinking of you as Issa bears down on your countries. Getting some coverage on ship's BBC channel.
  8. @0106 we have holed up in the cabin for games but past voyages they have played them in Gallery and or Mix and Explorations.
  9. Good morning from St. Thomas. Nothing on the docket for us rather than reading on the balcony though the loud music on the pier may drive us inside. One week since visiting Medical and I am slowly on the mend. Thanks for the Daily Reports and the cares and celebrations reports. Have a nice Sunday! Nancy
  10. No dining room photos from last night. We dined in to watch the Ravens beat the Texans. Probably will be another night of the same here with two other important games. It is not bad sitting inside watching football while recovering from a respiratory illness. It has now been one week since I visited Medical and I am finally able to get a night's sleep with with only four or five coughing fits. Last night I had coconut crusted meatballs and rare prime rib. Both tasty though I wish they would bring a steak knife with the beef. Our room service waiter even brought horseradish to mix with sour cream for a sauce.
  11. Good morning from St. Thomas. We are berthed in Havensight with a convenient access to shore excursions. Backed in behind us is the Norwegian Encore. Here are today's map and Daily Activities.
  12. Today I'm St. Kitts. It was an off and on rain with wind at first. We did the culinary excursion and it was perfect for my strength level and to get us off the ship for a while. We drove about 10 miles out of town to an old now refurbished sugar cane plantation. We were given a tour and then sat down and the chef did her thing. Vegetables, Jerk pork loin, grouper with vegetables, red beans and rice and topped off with some wonderful bread pudding. Then back to ship beating the next round of showers. A nap so I stay awake for 2 football games tonight.
  13. Last night's dinner in Tamarind. John had sushi, shrimp tempura and steak. I had fried soft shell crab, tempura and crispy duck. It was yummy as usual.
  14. Good morning from Bassaterre, St. Kitts. Our first shore excursion since this crud invaded me. A culinary class. Still coughing but slowly coming out of it. Leaving Dominica last evening. Have a nice Saturday and GO RAVENS!
  15. Good morning from Bassaterre, St. Kitts. Here is today's Daily Activities, Shopping map and a note about AC repairs today.
  16. Thanks everyone for well wishes for me. I am now paying back all the hours the Prednisone kept me awake taking a nap this afternoon. I am tapering the dose to 30 mg today and tomorrow. We were just in beautiful Dominica last March so I don't feel bad about doing nothing. John is being a patient trooper. @RMLincoln I am sorry to read about your friend's passing. @ger_77 I am sorry about your DH heart issue and that you had to cancel your cruise. Have a lovely day. Nancy
  17. We were in today's port Dominica at the city of Roseau. For a long time I thought Dominica was Dominican Republic. Not at all alike. Dominica is known the Nature Island. We are not touring today as we did a long HA shorex last March as we were ending our Grand South America on the Volendam. As a last minute thing I booked us on a multiple stop bus tour that took to a lookout way over the city and to the ship, next was a trip to a small botanical garden then up into the mountains for another beautiful stop to overlook the island, a stop at a waterfall and finally a Carib native Ecopark for a show and a vegetarian lunch. This tour is for photography buffs and nature lovers. John enjoyed it also because a lot of bus time was punctuated with serene stops and gorgeous views.
  18. Today's MDR menu. Missing my favorite Parmesan Crusted Veal as we will be dining in Tamarind.
  19. Good morning from Roseau, Dominica. Thanks for the Daily reports @kazu @rafinmd and @JA @JazzyV. A medium sized Celebrity ship got the city berth. We are going to enjoy our balcony today with much less wind!
