Thank you. I feel the same way but my daughter wants to bring her 4 year old there as

there isn't much to do in Port Canaveral. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The beach, Ron Jon's surf shop, the space center (although that's probably not that interesting for a 4-year old).

I just seems odd to me that someone who says they research the "rules and forums" and posts a very very detailed account of their experience would have not kept track of their username or password.

It could be that they have never had an account. It's possible to search these forums without having one. I know I've seen in the past where someone says they are a "longtime lurker" but first time poster.

There is the exact same balloon in Disneyland paris and that charges you €19.

Gives you an idea how much royal are over charging for this.

The one at Disney in Florida is $30. I wouldn't pay any more than that. You're not up there long and there's really not a lot to see.

Bingo. When people ask me my thoughts on travel insurance vs. "self-insuring," I typically say it depends ... would an unexpected $10k bill ruin your day, or ruin your life? Everybody has different thresholds for risk tolerance, and I respect that, but you have to think through the consequences.

One should also consider what their existing medical insurance and credit card protections cover in regards to medical expenses while traveling when deciding whether or not to buy travel insurance.  I suspect that many don't consider this.

More good points. You all know your stuff.

Indeed i m big on excursions so 3-4 days are on land.

In Nassau inside the port, there is a joint with 3 Bahamian beers for $10, and yes with tables and chair.

    I drank 4, wife 2, I was a little lit 🤣

    Thxs

You are smart to consider port days in your decision.  I suspect that some people don't consider this when determining if the drink package is worth it.

I will be on a 3-night cruise solo.  Am a senior who can't really stand for long or walk long distances. Is the MDR open on embarkation for lunch, and breakfast on the last day?  Have been thinking about getting The Key just so I can avoid the long lines/crowds on first day/last at Windjammer, etc.  The Key would provide both.  Thanks for any input!

Do you require internet service?  That makes a difference in the decision.

I never use the internet while on board, so it's an easy decision for me.

My family and I don't usually get The Key.  We are Diamond members and most of the benefits are free to us as Diamonds.

    Really?

Here's the list of The Key benefits:

    • Priority access during The Key designated arrival time (to be communicated via email). Other benefits may apply at specific ports.*
    • Carry-on bag drop off with delivery to your stateroom. **
    • Exclusive welcome lunch in the Main Dining Room featuring The Key signature menu.***
    • Access to the fast lane at onboard activities (activities vary by ship)and private time at the Flowrider*.
    • Priority departure at tender ports of call from ship-to-shore.
    • Dedicated seating at shows in the Main Theater, Aqua Theater, Studio B, and Two70.****
    • VOOM® Surf & Stream 1 of Device high speed internet per person who purchases the package.
    • On debarkation day, enjoy an exclusive á la carte breakfast and choice departure.

Diamond gets most of these?  I don't think so.

I like it better when they used to walk around with the bread selection.  Point and be served only what you wanted.

Me....we refuse the bread basket.  Already have too much food served at dinner and lunch!  😮

In France I've seen them dump the remainder of a table's bread basket into the remainder of another table's basket, and put it on a new table.  Didn't bother me a bit!

I guess I am out of the loop when it comes to RCCL corporate decisions, but why does this even matter?  It is posted here and on other social media.  What am I missing?

Now that Nick Weir has left Royal, whether on his own or forced out by Royal, what will happen to the eMuster Drill in the Royal App since he holds the patent on it?

Other cruise lines use similar methods.  I'm sure it won't be a big deal.

Also often when somebody invents something related to their job while working for a company, the company owns the patent.  Not sure if that's the case here, but it could be.

Each cruise I’ve been on l have asked our cabin steward for 2 blankets.  Each time they bring them. No issues.  We get one to replace the duvet and another for the couch.  I can’t imagine buying them.

I was wondering about this too.  Why would anyone need to buy blankets?  Just ask the steward for more.

Yeah, I understand how hot tubs and pools can make some folks do mental gymnastics about the possible yuck factor.  However, I look at it like this...  Of all the things that could cause me harm, a public pool or hot tub is veeeeeeeery low on that list.   When I'm on a cruise I take precautions where I can but I want to enjoy myself.  I've never been sick from a pool or hottub in my 50 years, as far as I know...

Same here.  I use the pools and hot tubs all the time, and they have never made me sick.  My immune system works just fine!
