    Should be a good one.

It should be.  Very excited about doing the full transit.  Also have never done any of the ports up the west coast.  Hope to meet you on this cruise as I have followed your postings for several years.  Do you Casino? I am easy to find, usually wearing a red Georgia Bulldogs cap.  Go Dawgs!

Does anyone know the phone number for the Players Club?  I want to check if there is a casino rate available on a cruise.

    Thanks!

Call your PCC.  They can tell if there are any active offers that your Mariner ID is attached to.  Ocean Players Club does not do calls, only by email after you submit a request on their website.

  3. Hi Rich.  I have been enjoying reading about your travels.  Sorry about the flight issues, and glad you were able to get it resolved.  I will be on a B2B Nov 9th to 30th on the Rotterdam to the Southern Caribbean, where I joyfully will be attaining my Free Laundry pin!  Sometime in the future I would love to meet you, maybe for lunch, and talk HAL & cruising. I live in Lawrenceville, GA very close to the MOG, and come to Athens for family frequently.  You can email me at jimbecker@bellsouth.net to see what we can work out.  Have a great rest of your trip and hope we can meet soon.   Jim

WOW!  That is quite a long list - must be for the high rollers though, as we have not gotten it.

I didn't get it either.  Haven't received an email offer this year so far, but did book B2B Nov 9th and 20th on Rotterdam for this fall.  The 200.00 inside room price was shown when I was logged in and the ocean view was 200.00 as well when I viewed the itinerary of those listings, as well as others that I wouldn't normally book.  Called the Casino booking group and they said that it showed that I had been emailed with the offer, but never received it.  Booked me anyway.  I emailed Ocean Players Club and they replied confirming I was eligible and also got the free play 100.00 and drinks while playing.  I printed out those emails and will take them with me.

Don't know of anything I can do to get the emails going again.  It's all magic after all!  Just have to be on top of checking the web site.

  5. I had pretty much the same experience on the Dec 12 - 22 Rotterdam sailing.  Never heard of a passenger getting quarentined, but they kept that pretty quiet.  I stayed on board all ports except Grand Turk, then I only went to the port buildings, then back on.  Nice, uncrowded cruise.  Service was excellent, food was a little boring (repeated entrees mostly), but still good.  Will be on the Nieuw Stat Feb 13 - 23 doing the same itinerary.  Going for the sailing, not the ports of call.  Not to mention a few Pina Coladas and some casino time.  I feel safer on board a HAL ship than at my local grocery store!

  6. I waited too long to order from Optum.  They are now showing out of stock on the 2 pack and 3 pack of Abbott's test.  I went to eMed and ordered the 6 pack for 150.00, and they only offered FedEx next day for 31.68.  I don't need them that soon, but they didn't offer a choice for slower/cheaper shipping.  Oh well.  Cruise is mid Feb and I have used the Abbott kit when I went on a cruise in December.  Worked fine, so what the heck.  I did order the 4 free at home kits from the gov web site.  No good for cruises, but fine if you think you were exposed around home.  Our tax dollars at work!   Just happy to be sailing again.  HAL did a great job on my December 10 day of keeping us healthy.  I felt safer on the ship than at my local grocery store!

  7. Note in the conditions:  You cannot use the Shareholder Benefit of OBC with this Casino Offer.  The rates are awesome, and they are for a guarantee stateroom.  You can use a FCD to book  and get the OBC that goes with it.  Very tempting.

This is the first time I have received a Casino offer that included 250.00 free play and free drinks while playing.

  8. Minuoshka, I have received the letter from the casino host on every cruise, usually the last day, that offers free play on a cruise booked by / sailed by dates.  All of the cruises I had planned were after the due dates.  I emailed Ocean Player Club, though their website,  asking politely if there was any opportunity for an extension or anything else that could be extended to my future cruise.  Included the booking number, dates, ship, etc. in the email.  I would receive an email response from OPC that would say that while they could not extend the dates or terms of the offer, they would offer some free play as a courtesy.  The amount varied from 50.00 to 150.00, and I would be "added to the guest list so the Casino Hosts would know I was coming".   TAKE THE EMAIL WITH YOU !!!!  The Casino Manager will handle it and get your free play authorized.   No guarantees, but they have always take care of me.  You just have to ask.

    Hope this helps.

  9. Sounds good to me!  I'm just guessing, but you might be booked on the Zuiderdam for a partial Panama Canal.  The Signature Suites on the Vista Class ships are 50% larger than the verandas and good location.  You will spend a good bit of time on your veranda sightseeing.  Hope you can still get it as they sell out fast.

Crew News,I'm looking forward to your report.I just booked a trip to Europe for 2021 and we have a Vista Suite on Deck 8 at the end jutting out on midship.Would like to know if the Lido Deck being above will affect itand also your views o the food, and Club Orange. Have a fabulous time!

We had B8099 Vista Suite on a K'dam cruise last year.  Both 8099 and 8082 are under storage rooms on the Lido, and we experienced noise from wheeled metal carts pretty much every night and early morning.  This is apparently the storage area for the Lido kitchens.  The two other end / corner rooms are under the carpeted dining area, so you should be fine there.

We prefer to book on decks 7 or 6 if possible, but are OK with some 8th deck rooms.  Just have to look at the deck plans.  Still, there is no "bad" stateroom on a cruise.
