  1. Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find anything through the usual searches. We are considering a cruise on Iona in February and just wondered how warm/useable the skydome, plus pools, are in the heart of winter? It seems a valuable asset and I assume it's warm enough for the pools and use of the loungers, but just thought I would check. I guess it also gets busy. Any feedback/suggestions would be great. Thanks
  2. We were on this as well. We are four, two adults, two children. We have not sailed P&O before - been with princess and RCL. we all thought the MDR food was - as a running average as some nights are better than others - the best of our cruises. The service we had (fixed dining) was also excellent. I would say it was one of the highlights of the experience. Don’t get me wrong, other aspects on the ship drove me mad re food, like virtually nothing in the atrium without charge. The buffet i found to be more limited than the others. I would recommend the breakfast in the restaurant rather than buffet - this was good. we also tried the beach house and Sindu - both were well above expectations. Oh, we also did the epicurean afternoon tea - bit of a luxury, but impressive all the same.
  3. We have just come off Britannia having had the drinks package. We probably had good value out of it, but I wouldn’t do it again! It was ok for us because we had two kids included, we like bottled water, and had a couple of costa’s a day, on top of alcoholic drinks. Inevitably we got the odd mock tail for the kids on the side. however, it drove me mad. Things like J20 not included, no fever tree for G&T, and about 4 cocktails in total are included, the rest are extra. This made it limiting which then meant we chose the drinks that were included rather than the ones we liked. I regret that. also, once i wanted a small can of beer for the room - to put in the fridge - and they refused to sell it without opening it first, which led to some words being exchanged (i do feel sorry for the bar staff and endeavour to be thoughtful but also express my disappointment so they can feed it back) Buyer beware.
