  1. We’ve missed the AzAMazing Evenings on two of our cruises this year because I’ve been having some foot problems and am having difficulty walking (especially on cobblestone or marble). In July, we missed the one in Ephesus and this past week we missed the one at the fort in Dubrovnik. While I’ve enjoyed the ones we’ve attended, some of the venues are not conducive to older people. Of course, there appeared to be a lot of people in their 30’s and 40’s on last week’s cruise too, as well as some teenagers and a couple of 8 year olds.

Doesn't that mean you lose the b2b OBC which is applied to both cruises? Or is it about one cruise, rather than two cruises, EM package being better value than lost OBC?

They still apply the B2B OBC even if you have one confirmation number. Also got the promotions offered for each cruise.

  3. My husband and I are currently on the Pursuit ending the first leg of a B2B, and were on the Quest in July. Both cruises had several first time Azamara cruisers, and everyone we spoke to loved the cruise and said they would book again. Pursuit is completely sold out for the next segment of our B2B.

I didn't ask for mine. The HD onboard did a letter for me. All very efficient. I am still waiting for this to be applied to my upcoming cruise. The letter from the ship is dated the 26th July 2023. I did another chaser a few days ago to the US email address I have. No response. It's often talked about here how good the onboard service is compared to onshore.  Here's a classic example.

If you have to go into isolation because of COVID or a stomach upset, Azamara give you an FCC equivalent to the value of the day/days you were in isolation. My husband had a stomach upset on an Azamara Vietnam cruise. As soon as he went to the medical centre they put us both in isolation and on a strict diet (he was only able to order certain items from room service). We were there a couple of days and got FCCs for them.

Thanks-searched for awhile since I had nothing better to do but couldn’t find anything. Did you have to ask for them? My husband tested negative so he doesn’t have to isolate. They moved him to a different cabin.

I wish it was all so simple. You remember the cruise we were on in July?  Despite three emails and three phone calls I'm still waiting for the FCC for the days I spent in isolation to be applied to my next cruise. Before I know it I'll be requested to make final payment for that one. At least it's been picked up by someone in the US and I have their dedicated email address. The UK customer services have been truly awful in that and a couple of other matters.

However, my loyalty details are correct!

What’s the FCC they’re giving you for the days in isolation? I’m currently in isolation on the Pursuit for 5 days.

Of course, it’s when all 4 ships are together in Koper, which is why I booked this itinerary!

For those who have been on Scotland intensive cruises, did Azamara provide shuttles to city centers?   If so, in which ports?

    TIA

    mare

They provide a shuttle in Edinburgh, but I can’t remember offhand which other ports (if any) had them last July. I used to take home every day’s Insider, but I’m trying to clean out all my junk so have been throwing them out.

Can you explain how to do this "fairly easily"-- I am an agent-- this is my first Azamara booking (for myself) and I cannot figure out how to do this AT ALL.  This is the most frustrating website I have seen!!

Azamara has instructions on the TA site. I saved them so I could follow them as I booked. It takes a little getting used to, but it’s not difficult.

That’s not a wonderful solution, I’m not keen on hanging on an international call for it, I’d much prefer to do it online.
Isn’t there anywhere on the website that makes it clear? The faqs seem to be pretty useless.

Did you book through a travel agent? They can book shore excursions using OBC fairly easily.

  10. There are only 6 washers and dryers so it can get pretty busy. After doing our own laundry for several cruises, we finally decided last year to just send it out and save ourselves several hours. Their prices per item are very reasonable, and they do have the special promotions.

Thanks all! The credit card situation is covered (Amex Plat charges no foreign fees and I have a SW Visa that is the same, came in handy in France in July since Amex not popular there apparently). I appreciate the wealth of info. I fly out on Friday so not sure I'll be able to find a debit card before then but this is great knowledge for the future.  I have never had a debit card (I don't think they earn points like CCs?) but might consider for next time!

    Happy sailing!

Do you have an ATM card from your bank (non-debit)? That’s what we use and our bank reimburses fees.

I think of all us who have been Azamara fans for a long time have been told this by different staff members. I would love to see it as it would show that those in charge have a plan and a vision of what Azamara will look like in the future. Fingers crossed.

Yes-we’ve heard it at at least 2 Q & A’s in the past year!

This morning I expressed my Azamara concerns to my TA for a Dec 2024 cruise.

This was his response, "Those issues should be well ironed out by your cruise in December.  We have had good feedback for the onboard experience aboard Azamara recently, actually, including some customers who are long time Azamara customers who were especially nervous about the transition."

I sure hope it is accurate and he's not just trying to placate me.

I changed TA’s recently. Before doing that, I asked my new TA if they had any issues booking and dealing with Azamara and she told me that they had no problems with booking Azamara.

  14. I booked 5 additional cruises for 2024-2025 when we were onboard in July, because we really liked the itineraries and price was and inclusions were good. All we have down is the reduced deposit for onboard booking which we will put a credit card claim for if necessary.
