Tonight was the first Formal Night on the CB’s eastern Caribbean cruise. I was surprised to see so many men in jackets. BUT we were in the Club Class dining room, which on this sailing seems to have an older crowd. (Me included!) Walking around after dinner I saw all forms of dress. As others have said there are no fashion police on duty. Just wear what you think is appropriate. When we were on a Mediterranean cruise (Celebrity) last summer there were very, very few men in jackets. In fact a couple at the table next to us wore the same jeans and tee shirts every night to dinner! We all have to pack lighter now to avoid paying those rediculous over-weight charges! 😠

I am glad that you are enjoying the new Sanctuary chairs. Hopefully you had a nice sunny day this afternoon on there!
I just found that the very large difference in the padding made the chairs not as comfortable for sitting in for a long day. They are now about 1.5 to 2 inches thick and very firm, the same size as the ones used for Mutts where they used to be about 10-12 inches thick and much softer and much more comfortable.
They definitely have a more updated look!
Hope you and the OP enjoy the rest of your cruise and have amazing weather the rest of the time.
I don’t disagree with you. The old padding was much thicker. But I am not uncomfortable on the new ones. It is definitely better than the regular pool chairs so I am happy! 😀

Private Island Day:
Once the sun came out on the island it was beautiful. Water was warm and clear. Who knew two months ago when we booked a clamshell it would keep
us dry!!! We were on the first tender over and it poured! But we were nice and dry. No need to be protected from the sun this morning.
We returned to the ship for lunch, choosing to skip the island lunch. After lunch we settle in on our chairs in the Sanctuary. I have to disagree with a previous poster about the Sanctuary changes. The chairs are fine, even with the thinner pads. I do miss not having a table though. Staff is still wonderful!

What brand of water can you buy on the Caribbean Princess besides Crystal Geyser?
They delivered two cases to our room. It is Niagara, bottled in Ontario, CA. (Product of USA)

We are on board too! The ship looks great and so does the Sanctuary. We had lunch in the dining room and it was delicious. We will try the World Market tomorrow for breakfast.
There are only two electrical outlets side by side in our Mini Suite cabin So if your charger is fat you can only use one of the outlets at a time. I did bring a vertical USB charging station which charges 4 things at once. So we’ll be fine until it’s time to plug in the hair dryer! 😂😂

I got the same bands. They have to be placed just so, it seems to be magnetic. Try turning it around and playing around with it. Once I placed it ok there correctly it appears to be tight.
I am boarding the Caribbean Princess tomorrow so I’ll let you know if it falls out.
Thank you. We will all love to hear about your cruise. Enjoy!

We bought the Sport Bands on the Ocean Ready app when we ordered our Medallions. They just came and the Medallion falls right thru them. Am I doing something wrong?
-
Our flight home is now impossible to make. All remaining flights are connecting flights. We will be on the Ruby Princess. Can anyone give advice as to the earliest flight that would be safe? Obviously, the new 8:00 AM flight is not possible.

If you're ocean ready, according to the app you need the Ocean Ready boarding pass, either the mobile variety on your phone or printed. If you can't print directly from your phone you can load up ocean.com on a PC and print one from there.
If not ocean ready then in theory you need the regular one from the cruise personalizer.
I like to be overly prepared so I will plan to use my phone for the mobile pass, but I will also have printed copies of both the ocean ready and traditional boarding passes.
I'm on the CB on the 18th as well! Physically I'm sitting at work but mentally I'm already there! Be sure to check in to the roll call if you haven't recently a meetup is being planned. Spoiler alert it's outrigger after muster.
Wow! Thank you. I never noticed the directions on the Ocean Ready about the Boarding Pass. We have our Medallions and sport bands and are all set to go. I took a screen shot of the Boarding Passes. We are on the Roll Call. Only 7 more days. We fly out of PHL on Friday. (And I do have the Plan B paper Boarding Passes, too. Just In case their computers crash!😂😂)

We didn't need the paper when we boarded the Royal on April 20th.
Thank you. That’s what we thought!

We are 9 days away from out first Medallion cruise on the CB. 😀 The directions say to print out the Boarding Pass. With our Medallions in hand will we still need the Boarding Pass?

not as cheap as Carnival or Princess but they do
Hydrate yourself with fresh bottled water from Europe. Enjoy evian® Natural Spring Water your cruise, freshly sourced from the French Alps.
Reserve before your sail date and have it waiting in your stateroom when you arrive*. Or pick a later date during your vacation for your water to be delivered. You can choose between 12 or 24 one liter bottle packages once you add to the cart.
It's the perfect way to quench your thirst after a day of exciting excursions and nonstop entertainment.
$39.00 ( per 12 pack)
Thank you. I did see that but no price. I tried to get into my Cruise Personalizer and it said the website for it couldn’t be found. What? Last summer the Celebrity website was a nite mare - it is a problem here, too?
-
Does Royal Caribbean have a bottled water package? We just booked a cruise, and on our last Princess cruises we paid $7.90 for a case of 12 bottles. Any chance RCCL does that?
-
Thank you for your advice. We’ll choose another cruise. 😀

I am considering changing our “Maiden” Enchanted Princess cruise in 2020 to what Princess is now calling the “preview” Cruise. (9 days earlier). Is this a mistake? We were on the Majestic Princess for her third cruise and everything was fine. But is the first cruise really a problem?

To check fares to/from locations in and around Seattle try this website: https://www.taxifarefinder.com/main.php?city=Seattle and look for the Heartland Toyota ad just below the map. There are 4 buttons below that under the title Sponsored Searches. You will find responses for limos under there.
Princess also has a transfer service from the Westin directly to Pier 91 which also collects your luggage from your room and transports it to the pier which keeps you from having to handle your baggage at all. Your bags will be moved from the hotel and the next time you'll see them is at your stateroom on the ship. You will be dropped off at the pier at about 10:30-11:00 which will be just about the time that check-in will begin.
Tom
This is great information, thank you. We are staying at the Marriott downtown. How would I find out if Princess provides this service to other hotels?

I also went thru a fake booking online for our July,2020 European cruise. When we booked months ago there were no offers at al! The promos now show at the end. However, this cruise is almost sold out and our category is totally sold out. Is it still possible to rebook with our current cabin to pick up the promos?

The unlimited MedallionNet package is awesome.
If it is fully up and running the speed is outstanding.
I have experienced it on the Regal and the Caribbean Princess.
I stayed logged in 24/7!
Yes you can purchase onboard and when charged to your shipboard account it should count against the OBC.
Do you know if we will be able to use it to stream the final episode of Game of Thrones while we are cruising?! Apparently this is very important to “some”. 😂

This is EXACTLY what I was told by our waitstaff in the dining room. We gave him additional gratuity on the last night and he asked for our room number. He told us he had to turn it in and if we had left the gratuities on our shipboard account, the extra would be returned to him. We assured him we had left them on the account and he said he really appreciated the extra.
I agree. I was told this also by our wait staff.

I am sailing on the Caribbean Princess to the Eastern Caribbean on May 18th and would like to spend some time in the thermal spa, but cannot find any information on how to obtain a day pass or a week pass. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks
What does the Thermal spa consist of on the CB? The only Therma Suite we have used was on the Majestic Princess which had a wonderful warm pool.

You do realise that this a thread from a year ago when they hadn't released them , right...
Oops! Duh! I didn’t notice the date. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. 😀

We just did this for our Alaska cruise. My daughter and I wanted the price of each excursion charged to our own accounts. So, we each went into our own Princess account, selected the same excursion and added it to our carts. When you get to the end the default payment is your OBC. You have to uncheck it if you want to save the OBC for use during the cruise. Any balance must be paid at the time you select your excursion(s). If you put excursions on your Wish List it tells you it is only for 24 hours. Unfortunately it was far less than that 24 hours and I had to enter them again.

This looks like a deal from an agency “Cruising with Wayne.”

We have had our July, 2020 cruise on the Enchanted Princess booked for several months. In fact many categories on that cruise are all ready sold out.

Today was a beautiful sea day. Lots of sun. I have to say the Market Place buffet for breakfast was very good. Lots of choices. We had delicious cheeseburgers at the Salty Dog for lunch, and the main dining room choices for dinner included a shrimp dish, Cornish hen, and beef tenderloins. Banana Foster for dessert.
I have to say we are overall, very happy with the CB. She looks great and the staff is wonderful. We haven’t sailed on her since 2005 so, I was a little concerned she would be “old.” But she is not! And she is a perfect size.
Thank you Buckeye Mark for lettting me add my two cents to your thread.
